    London's Big Ben

    TheHouses of Parliament and Elizabeth Tower, commonly called Big Ben, are among

    London's most iconic landmarks. Technically, Big Ben is the name given to the massivebellinside the clock tower, which weighs more than 13 tons (13,760 kg). The clock tower

    Westminster Abbey

    Kings, queens, statesmen and soldiers; poets, priests, heroes and villains - Westminster

    Abbey is a must-see living pageant of British history.

    Buckingham Palace

    Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of Her Majesty The

    Queen. It is one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today.During the summer, visitors can tour the nineteen State Rooms, which form the heart of the

    Palace. These magnificent rooms are decorated with some of the greatest treasures from the

    Royal Collection, including paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens and Canaletto.

    Changing the Guard at Buckingham

    Palace

    For a display of British pomp and ceremony, watch the Changing the Guard ceremony

    outside Buckingham Palace.

    Changing the Guard or Guard Mounting is the process involving a new guard exchangingduty with the old guard.

    The Guard that looks after Buckingham Palace is called The Queen's Guardand isdivided into two Detachments: the Buckingham Palace Detachment (responsible for

    guarding Buckingham Palace) and the St James's Palace Detachment (responsible for

    guardingSt James's Palace).
