Differentiate or Die! Sam GeiSt - sPonsorEd By crm

Sam Geist’s business programs are not just theoretical speeches, they offer tangible ideas, and solutions. They provide a wealth of relevant information as well as the impetus to act on it. Sam questions. He challenges. He informs. He refocuses participants. He provides actionable strategies to address the obstacles faced by so many of today’s organizations.

During hands-on, interactive discussions and brainstorming workshops, Sam uses the Socratic method to encourage participants to question themselves, to think about their business in new ways in order to change, improve, and grow. He insists that asking tough questions – and answering them honestly – is crucial to the well being of your organization. He shows you how to capitalize on your resources, and how to use your knowledge more profitably than you ever did before.

For many, successfully getting through the pressure filled days of an ever changing and challenging work environment – with a smile still upon your face and a sincere desire to continue serving your staff and members, alike – feels like an episode of a soon to be aired new TV reality show: Survivor Workplace!”

What’s the one thing that’s more contagious than passion for your profession? The lack of it!

This inspiring, informative and interactive keynote is designed to give CUMA conference attendees a much needed “time out” forum to examine and apply strategies for reconnecting with their early days, original passion for the good work they perform and apply these lessons learned to their daily interactions with both internal staff and colleagues, as well as members.

Whether you are opening a can of “Whoop Ass” in a tattoo parlor or staring at a Jones Soda with a label featuring a picture of your children, you’ve encountered the marketing wizardry of Peter van Stolk. The man is not exactly what you’d come to expect from one of Advertising Age’s Marketing 100 or maybe he is. And maybe that’s the point.

Peter van Stolk entered the highly competitive beverage industry, learned the rules and then promptly rejected them. Why follow the rules of giant’s Coca Cola and Pepsi when those rules don’t help you? Peter has been able to attract attention by setting his products apart from the rest and developing an emotional bond with his customers. This bond has attracted the attention of the New York Times, CNN, People Magazine and INC. magazine. Fox, BMG and Armani A/X endorse Urban Juice and Soda products free of charge.

Turning Succession Planning

Upside Down A New View!

CUSOURCE® Credit Union Knowledge Network is pleased to offer a one day workshop for managers

following the CUMa conference on september 20th, 2006.

Succession… the buzz word of the year—So what does it really mean??

Succession planning for key positions is an important management responsibility for continuity and contingen-

cies. We’ll take a new view of how to attract, develop, and engage the workforce needed to keep your credit union

thriving over the next 5 -10 years.

By reviewing data about the emerging workforce and what makes them “tick”, participants will explore the best

practices to consider organically growing talent, as well as attracting and retaining external applicants to your

organization. The Participants will leave this session with a strategy that will enable your credit union to prepare

for future needs.

CUSOURCE Credit Union Knowledge Network will be hosting a reception for all attendees of this course in the

evening of September 19th. Watch for more details of the reception and course coming soon.
