Having started their gigging career just over 8 months ago supporting

Mercury darlings Metronomy, Devon-based three-piece These Reigning

Days release their second single ‘Living It Up’ on June 12th 2012.

The band’s new single follows the release of their successful debut

“Changes” , which received glowing reviews and which was playlisted

at regional and specialist radio stations across the UK.The single’s video

was also playlisted by music channel Q Music.

Fronted by the former lead singer/songwriter of The Quails, Dan

Steer’s new band have been honing their brand of synth layered indie-

rock with top producer Yoad Nevo (Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, Girls

Aloud, Goldfrapp) as they work towards the release of their debut album

in summer 2012. Dan said, “It’s very different to anything I’ve done

before. It combines a fusion of indie-rock with a subtle electro twist,

but also with some deep and dark moments.”Dan Steer’s innovative songwriting, distinctive voice and charismatic

stage presence helped achieve national success and widespread media

acclaim for The Quails, appearing at Glastonbury and Latitude’s BBC

Radio 1 stage, in addition to supporting bands as varied as Muse, The

Kooks, Newton Faulkner and Motorhead.Having already established a reputation as a stunning live band,

These Reigning Days were recently selected to showcase at Musexpo

in Los Angeles and have garnered publishing, label, licensing and sync

interest as a result of their stunning performance and Changes will be

released in Australia next month with top plugger Rusell Thomas.

With more UK dates to be announced and with support from BBC

Devon Introducing, These Reigning Days are already set to perform on

the mainstage at a number of festivals as well as headline the Exmouth

Festival and Dartmouth festival. In addition, the band will support Zane

Lowe at the 1,000 capacity Venue nightclub in Torquay and headline

the Teignmouth Carnival (3,000 people) and Jubilee celebrations.

The band will be showcasing songs from their forthcoming album at

the BBC Club at 6pm on 13th June. For more details www.thesereigningdays.co.uk

It’s another summer of Bri

The new single fromTraverso, Better KnowYou, is out today on iTunesAmazon and other leadingdigital music outlets. The summer of 2012 is a celebration of allthings British, right? From theintrospective revelry of the Golden Jubilee, tothe world-gathering gold-avoiding high jumpin’high jinks of the Olympics.

It’s another summer of Brit love. And Traverso’snew single captures perfectly the essence ofour Cool Britannia heritage, with nods, winks, wry smiles, firm handshakes and much flagwaving to the artists who summed up the soundand vibes of an entire generation.

From Mungo Jerry to Bowie,Bolan and Mick Flinn (O.k. we know he’s an Aussie, but we’re all one happyfamily…right?) and on to the Bluebells, BeautifulSouth and FairgroundAttraction; Better Know You will have you reachingfor the English sparklingwine / gallon of cider, straw hats and clottedcream before you can say “cuppa tea?” Even the instrumentation takes you to a time re-invented.

New single from Traverso “Better you know” BETTER THAN EVER

From the live string section, to the unswervinglysummery honey toned staccato of the banjo, it is aBrit-Fest feast of musical memories.

But as with all Traverso’s songs, the Lyricscontain JUST enough darkness and humour tomake the listener, after initially humming awaymerrily to its instantly catchy melody and hooks, instantly question that they’ve understoodwhat they’ve just been told….and compel them toplay it again… JUUUST to make sure….and that’salways gotta’ be a good thing.

Better know you is available now on AustinPowers iPod, and is PERFECT for any Union Jackcovered street party.

The single is available on I tuneswww. Traverso.co.uk
