Windows 8 Support

• Cadence will support the Windows 8

– 64bit Intel based version

• Cadence will NOT support

– Windows RT (ARM)

• It will be supported by a future SPB release. The SPB

version and the support date has not be finalized

• No support for Windows 8 with SPB 16.5 or before

• 16.6 is the last release on 16.x database

• 17.0 is the next and is scheduled for H1 2014

– Major upgrades in database

• Distribution of new features:

Encrypting Tcl Scripts

• To encrypt Tcl scripts in Capture, you should use the

orcad::encrypt command from the Capture

Command window.
