WHAT’S INSIDE?

The essence of Women’s Day was celebrated in full spirit as all the ladies of ADP acrossPakistan gathered together along with the District Managers, Regional Managers andLead Team.The session commenced from a brief history about Women’s Day, after which the malelead team members talked about the superwomen in their lives starting from our GeneralManager, Nael. This was followed by the female members who spoke on different topicsregarding women empowerment and equality. Various members from the audience alsogave shout outs to the women special to them for personifying strength and courageevery day.

All the locations were decorated in themes of pink and white along with special giftsplaced on the work stations of all female employees.

PAKISTAN DAY CELEBRATIONS

Pakistan Day was celebrated in high spirits at Islamabad and Gujrat branches tocommemorate the day when the resolution of Pakistan, as a separate homeland, waspassed. With the support of Admin department, the offices were inked in colourgreen. The working staff enthusiastically shared their love for the country. The daywas marked with a cake-cutting ceremony by Babar Shabbir & Adnan Hussain whoattended the ceremony and made special prayers for the country’s sovereignty,integrity and development.

TEAM ENGAGEMENT – PESHAWAR CLUSTER

To break away from the routine, team members from Peshawar, Mardan and Attockgathered for a refreshing meet-up. Welcoming the spring season with great energy, akite flying activity was conducted where different teams made their own kites andcompeted amongst each other, followed by a dinner.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

This training was designed to equip the participants with the skills needed for diverse and demanding requirements inmodern project management. Successful project management today involves increased demand for quality, deliveryon time, strict adherence to budget and control mechanisms. The session was conducted by Sadaf Saad (Head of IT) inKarachi having participants from HR, IT, Finance, CBD & SD. To ensure implementation of the learned skills, theparticipants were asked to bring real life projects and create plans accordingly, they later presented these and furtheradded finesse to their projects.

PRESENTATION SKILLS

Strong presentation skillsempower one to become moreconfident, enthusiastic andpersuasive when delivering anytype of presentation. Nomatter how good or importanta message is, if it is notdelivered in an effective, andmore importantly, interestingmanner, chances are, it will notbe heard. Good presentationskills can advance a career,while poor speaking skills canground a rising star.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE TRAINING – QUETTA

An initiative was taken by CSL Quetta team where an in-house training session wasconducted in which the participants were provided basic First Aid and CPR trainingin case of emergencies. Dr. Adnan and Dr. Nasira Tehseen from Boy ScoutsBalochistan conducted the session in which information was provided regardinghow to recognize which situation calls for a CPR and how to perform it properly. Thiswas followed by an activity where the participants executed their learnings of thesession.

Featured Initiatives

In order to ensure proper handling of Hand Pallet Jack, an initiative was taken in theMultan region to avoid possible damages by mishandling resulting in damages ofstock and injuries.

One Point Lesson wascreated for the WH team forunderstanding of manualHand Pallet Trolleyoperational instructions andcontrols.

A quick check according tothe Inspection checklist to bedone by the custodian of thetrolley and reporting theSupervisor in case of anydamage.

Custodian of the trolley to“TAG OUT” the machine ifneeded until it is made safefor operations.

Sessions on ‘Training and Issuance of MHE License’ were held at different locationsincluding Faisalabad, Pir Mahal, Samundari and Jaranwala.

Featured Initiatives

Safety sessions were conducted across Islamabad Region by the CS&L teams. Islamabadbranch, along with each Network Town conducted sessions which focused on topicsranging from Road Safety, Proper Vehicle Maintenance and Weather Precautions(Hypothermia) to ensure the well-beings of the ADP staff in a proactive manner. Theparticipants were encouraged to spread awareness and educate others to create a saferand healthier work environment.

ABUDAWOOD SUPER

LEAGUE

On 23rd March, Sukkur cluster, under the supervision of Usman Saeed (Unit Manager),Inamullah Mahar (Section Supervisor) and Abid Ali (Admin Executive), arranged thetournament “Abudawood Super League.” Employees from Jacobabad, Larkana andSadiqabad travelled to Sukkur to be a part of the event. The activity included membersof CBD and CSL departments along with non-management and 3PL staff.

The league consisted of 3 Teams – GT Kings, CSL Zalmi & Sub D Gladiators whocompeted against each other on the ground. CSL Zalmi and Sub D Gladiators reachedthe final where the former emerged as winners in the last over.Prizes were distributed to the Winning Team and lunch and refreshments were enjoyedby all attendees.

PSL Fever

Over one hundred and fifty employees from the Islamabad Branch gathered on Sunday,18th March, to participate in a thrilling cricket tournament organized by ADP, at GauriCricket Ground, Islamabad, for both the Management & Non-Management staff. Theprime purpose of this activity was to bring cross-departmental and cross-regional teamstogether to foster cohesiveness and nurture relationships.Regional Manager Babar Shabbir and District Managers Adnan Hussain and JunaidNabi Khan not only graced the event as Chief Guests, but also participated in thehighest of spirits to represent their departments in the matches.Participants from all departments were divided into six teams to play a tournament of 8matches. The teams played with great zeal, exhibiting commendable sportsman spirit.Cherry on top was the humor-filled commentary by Unit Manager, Shakeel Ahmed andSection Supervisors, Muhammad Usman and Numair Usman.After a nail-biting final with CS&L Gladiators, ADP Stars (Supplier Officers) under theleadership of Supplier Supervisor, Khurram Rashid, won the tournament.
