Holy Cow! We are poised for Ministry Thirty of us met with Susan Czolgpsz, the Holy Cow Consultant, on Saturday morning and found it quite enlightening. She told us that we are in the 20% category of transformational churches with high satisfaction and high energy. She said there is great trust in the leadership and that the combined clergy and laity together are doing a great job of working together. We give thanks for the ministry of Royce Brown who helped create a culture of clergy and laity working together. This is a great place to be and in order to stay in this place, we need to move from this place. Otherwise we become complacent and fall into crisis. She said we are in a great place to make major decisions, whether fiscally, physically, pragmatically or spiritually. I hope we will allow our spirituality to lead us. Susan said was that we are a highly educated and capable group and sometimes it is difficult to wait on the Spirit to lead us. I invite all of us into prayer through the rest of this Lenten season. Let us listen for God’s guidance and seek God’s Kingdom first. Let the leadership know what you hear! Fr. Jim+

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND...FOYERS
Foyers is a group of people who want to meet once a month to get to know each other. These groups are flexible and can include dinner, picnics, movies, etc.
It is up to the group to plan. Sign up sheets will be available during the Lenten Soup Suppers. We'll have a kick off dinner in April. All
names are put into a hat and drawn to determine the groups. It's a great way to renew friendships and make new ones. Hope you'll join.

To whom it may concern, Hello, my name is Emily Smith and I am excited to tell you about what I am doing this
summer, I was accepted to Project Impact. 2018 in Denver. Colorado. Project Impact is an intense summer discipleship program for college age kids. I will work a full time job while being disciplined and learning life skills. We will concentrate on life skills such as cooking ,cleaning, budgeting, and conflict resolution. We will have small groups to learn more about the bible and will be learning how to have spiritual conversations with to our coworkers.
I accepted Christ when I was 19 at Life Impact. I am a relatively a new Christian and I am still
confused on this Christian concept. I am praying God will help me grow in my faith: I want to learn to talk to people like my coworkers, non Christians, Christians, and strangers. I am also praying that God will help me learn to make long lasting relationships,
I need to raise $1700. You can give $20,$50 ,$100.or any amount God lays on your heart to give. If
you cannot give, you can still help out by praying for me. I will need $1700 dollars by April 30. I will be covering $250.
If you would like to support me. make the checks out to FCD or campus ventures. It is important that
my name is not on the check, but has a piece of paper attached with my name on it. You will receive a tax deductible receipt.
Thank you for supporting me in this journey. Keep praying for me and I hope you all have a good
summer. Yours truly, Emily Smith
Opportunity to support one of our College Choir Singers! To whom it may concern,
I am writing in hopes that you will support me during this summer both financially and spiritually, in being a camp counselor at Haven on the Rock , a bible camp in Ft Laramie Wyoming . The camp is held from June 3rd through August 10th. The camp is open to all ages of children that come from many back-grounds and cultures and lets them experience things such as archery, hiking, arts and crafts along with many other things. The campers will also be led to further their relationships with the Lord with the help of counselors like myself, though bible studies and worship music.
I believe that this experience would be beneficial for me in many ways. One way that this experience
will help me grow is in my leadership skills and help me in leading others to Christ back at my college campus in my campus ministry, Campus Ventures . The skills that I acquire during the summer at Haven on the Rock will also help me in the future when I go on mission trips overseas and around the US. This will also serve as resume builder and help me gain experience in working with children, just like I will be doing after I finish my degree in Education.
To be fully funded I will need to raise five hundred dollars by May 31st. The money that I raise will be
used to pay be for being a consoler and allow me to be at camp and not have to go get a job for the summer. If you are interested in helping fund me for the summer please send any donates to, Haven on the Rock C/O Eron Lampman, 560 Rim Rock RD Ft Laramie, WY 82212.
I am so excited to see what God has in store for me this summer and to help children come to Christ
and grow in their faith. Thank you in advance for all your spiritual and financial support. Sincerely,
Eron Lampman

Synthesis Today Quote
for February 9, 2018
We would do well to make our congregations
places of
imagination and possibility. ... Right now we
need to pray for a "double portion" of divinity to
enliven us and give light to those to whom we
minister.
