Roaring Twenties Celebrity Gathering
1. You will be given a celebrity bio. You will represent
this celebrity (as either the celeb or their PR rep).
2. Read about your celebrity, and take notes for your
celebrity. Record at least two accomplishments. You
will complete the rest of the chart during the activity.
3. When the music is playing, all celebrity guests will
mingle with each other.
4. As you talk with each guest about his or her
achievements, fill in the appropriate information on
your guest list.

HOMEWORK - 1920S SLANG SKITS:
KEEN TALK FOR A SWANKY AGE
Step 1: Examine slang expressions. Carefully examine the slang expressions, Make sure you understand the meanings of the slang terms. Ask if you are uncertain about what an expression means.
Step 2: Brainstorm ideas for the 1920s skit. You must create a 2-3 minute skit that brings to life a scene set in the 1920s. Your skit must incorporate all slang expressions and make the audience feel as if they have stepped back in time to the Roaring Twenties.
Step 3: Create the 1920s skit. Create a script for the skit. Make sure the skit is school appropriate. You can create “names” for the participants or just use “Man 1,” “Woman 1,” “boy 1,” boy 2,” etc…
