Whenever the Spirit of God talks to me about how to choose leadership for America, He always talks about

character. Men look at the outer appearance; the political party, credentials and contacts the man has; but

God chooses leaders based upon whats in their hearts. Whats in a mans heart determines the beliefs and

values that leader carries throughout his decision-making and interaction with people.

Which brings me to Election 2012 and the issues of what Mitt Romney did wrong. The Spirit of God made

one scathing remark about Mr. Romney that prevented him from ever being elected this countrys next

president. The Lord said, He does not have the moral characterto run this nation. From that point on

the Lord gave me a list of characteristics that Romney demonstrated over this election season that prove he

never had the character to lead. My instruction from God was to release this post after the elections were

over. Even this morning I was awaken with the Lord taking me through the Bible and showing that leaders

were never chosen based on their political views, but always based upon their waystheir habits, moral

character and manner of being. The character of the King always leads the people to either follow God or

go against him. The greatest example is that of King David. David was chosen because he was a man after

Gods heart; a man chosen because he would do all of Gods will for the Nation of Israel. Likewise, Godhas given numerous prophetic messages concerning his anointing of Barack Obama to lead our

nation. America is standing at the place of her ultimate destiny and God was not going to let just anyone

lead in this hour. He needed a man who was in tune with the heart of God for this nation. That man was and

still is President Barack Obama.

When the Lord had me write the book entitledAmerican Heritage 101 his plan was for me to analyze the

reasons that America had lost her prosperous position in the world. The bottom line is this; once we lost our

sense of moral character and value for human life; we could no longer sustain the prosperity our forefathers

had obtained for this nation. We are not talking about Christian or religious values but the basic human

values of right and wrong and what is considered honorable and respectful amongst ourselves. The Lord

told me that wealth is a burdensome weight on the human heart. If the heart is weakened because of a poor

value system, the entire human system; both financially and morally will break down. That is the condition

America is in at this point in time. In order for America to prosper once again, we have to return todemonstrating good moral character and honor towards our leaders, towards one another and towards God.

So let us continue by looking at specific things Mitt Romney did wrong in this presidential campaign.

The Lord chose Mitt Romney as the case study on why America is failing as a nation. This man is typical

of how Americans have operated in the past and it is precisely the reason the Lord will not release

prosperity until we correct our actions. The number one reason Americans are failing is that we dont work

for what we want; we have a sense of entitlement; that the government and the public owes us something

just because of who we are. Here is what the Lord showed me about Romney, he had run for the

presidential office in the past, but this time he did not come prepared. Romney had a sense that he was

entitled to the job. So he really didnt think he needed much more preparation than that. His plan was to

shoot blanks at the President, hoping that something would damage his opponent. In the eyes of God, this

was very dishonorable and disrespectfulduring a time when so many Americans are looking for hope

and direction. Romney gave people more confusion and no direction . He never presented a clear planof action that was positive and constructive. He never had one.

The Lord also identified another reason Romney was not prepared. He is an opportunist. Opportunist

never prepare they react to people and situations and switch their game plan to fit a spur of the moment

schemethat they hope will benefit themselves. The Lord revealed that Romney courted Christian

leaders hoping to take advantage of their racist position against Obama.Then during Hurricane Sandy

the Lord also revealed that Romney was preparing to take advantage of those who were suffering. He

supposedly halted campaigning in honor of the situation, but it was only for appearances. On the night the

hurricane hit New York, the Spirit of God had me watching the Weather Channel and praying for the safety

of the people. I must have watched until about 6 or 7am the next morning. When I tuned back in to the

Weather Channel an hour or two later, I was astounded to see that Mitt Romney's ads were being positions

over the video footage of the disaster. How offensive it was to see and hear about the devastation and see a

Romney ads about issues totally unrelated to what was happening. People were suffering and dying and this

man was asking them to vote for his cause. This was not only in poor taste, but it was poor judgment on

the part of his campaign. "He showed no compassion for the hurting masses." After observing all of the

above, I realized that what the Lord shared about Mitt Romney was true. He is a man who lacks thecharacter to lead America through the tough places that lie ahead of us.

The Spirit of God said that in this hour, prosperity would only come to America when we honor the one

who honors God in covenant. Romney cannot be expected to demonstrate the character and excellence of a

God he does not know. Nor can he demonstrate honor when he has not experienced it himself. Its not his

manner of behavior. A leader can only give what he has within himself. Good character can be learned, but

only if one truly sees it as a value worth obtaining.

So America, this is a key question for our reflection. What would it take for all Americans (including Mitt

Romney) to reconsider our value system? According to God, it will take another major nation disaster, and

he is allowing one to come our direction for such a purpose.
