-Bissection of an embryo 2 days after fertilisation

-Bissection of an embryo 5 to 7 days after fertilisation

Dizygotic or Heterozygous twins

- Called fraternal twins

- Each dissimilar genetic heritage (different genes)

-Can be of a different sex or of the same sex

This technique : artificial embryo twinning allows to amplify opportunities for reproduction (in cases of infertility for example)
