Good Audience to target?

• I think that the audience we have targeted are the type of people who can easily access music E.G online. Therefore financially we would benefit.

• 16-25 year olds are the people who listen to the most music.

• Having the race and Socio-Economic Status being ‘any’ then we are broadening our range of people and I believe this genre of music will satisfy most people.

• The only ‘secondary’ target audience would be middle aged males who are trying to ‘keep in touch’ with their youth by listening to modern music.

Using audience feedback

• After creating our music video and ancillary tasks (album cover and magazine advert) we showed it to several people and asked them to complete one of our questionnaires. We also created a video of people responding to the music video and answering questions from the questionnaires.

With these responses I have created some graphs to show some answers.

Limitations

• The limitations with our audience feedback were that we only asked 17 and 18 year olds in our class and nowhere else.

Technologies• The technologies we used were setting up a digital video camera and

filming everybody watching our music video and then answering the questions from our questionnaires.

• I think that this is a really effective way of capturing audience feedback as they can express their views easier when talking rather than writing.

• We also uploaded the tape onto a Mac computer so we could edit parts out so that we could watch the answers only.

• This was good as it was fast and easier than looking through a lot of questionnaires.

Influence planning and construction?

• It did influence our planning and construction as it showed us that people may disagree with our ideas so we could have changed things. E.g. If it had the right amount of effects etc.

Here is some Feedback (Questionnaires)

• Do you think the music video compliments the song? 10/10 said ‘yes’.

• Did you understand the narrative?

7/10 said ‘yes’. 3/10 said that they did’nt get all of it.

Reflection

• Looking back at all of our audience feedback I think I would change some of the narrative in the video so that people could understand it easier. I would also have added more questions to our questionnaire that have a ‘rating out of 10’ answer so that I could use graphs to show how effective it was.

• I would also changed the magazine advert slightly so that we got a better average rating than ‘8’.
