• The key factors we learnt regarding technologies was have to execute effective means of using the functions they offer to us.

• Technologies we used included:• A canon (camera for filming our footage)• An apple Mac• Final cut pro• Video shop

Filming- on an Canon• The initial technology we used to record our footage was the canon.

The camera was used to film our rekkie shots to help us pick our locations, but this gave us an opportunity to work with the different functions the camera had.

• We learnt how to use the rotation feature to execute smooth sweeping shots, how to adapt the focus of our camera to draw attention to the parts we wanted emphasised to our audience and we learnt how to use the zoom feature to establish different shot lengths e.g. close ups. These skills helped us to gain the thought out footage we wanted so our title sequence could become a professional appearing sequence.

Using the Apple Mac• The Apple Mac we used was key to the editing process. It gave us the

opportunity to have the toolset for software download and to be able to use the most effective editing content. Tutorials and available online information educated us how to use the apple mac, with initially struggling to save files locally; but we were able to combat this from what we learnt.

• With the ability of learning how to navigate the Apple Mac we could use our chosen editing software of final cut pro. We learnt how to trim our videos, adapt speeds, record voiceovers, filter our footage, add credits/text and manipulate our footage in many different ways.

Final Cut Pro• After determining what editing software we wanted to use by comparing the

different toolsets available for us, we developed our skills on final cut pro; learning how to navigate the software to get the footage to the place we wanted.

• What we learnt with final cut pro was how to adapt our footage this regarded visuals such as lighting, exposure, contrast amongst other techniques which allowed us to convey the atmosphere we wanted by the manipulations on offer. The key thing I learnt, which was one of the most important objectives for us as a group, was how to use final cut pro to keep continuity established; learning that technology could help us to ensure this. As we could trim or insert different scenes to keep continuity established.
