Keeping promises is a great habit to form

. It allows people to

trust you and helps you become a person of integrity. This w

eek, place a jar on your kitchen table. A

nnounce that it’s “Prom

ise-Keeping Week,”

and every time som

eone in your fam

ily breaks a promise,

that person has to put a quarter into the jar. H

many quarters do you

think will accum

ulate in a w

eek? When the w

eek has ended, give the m

oney to a w

orthy cause, and ask G

od to help you keep prom

ises alw

God

had promised a flood to end all floods. A

nd for

many years N

oah faithfully built an ark, trusting

God w

ould keep his promise. W

hen the flood

finally came, it did everything G

od had promised.

And the ark did everything G

od had promised.

When the w

aters receded, Noah and his fam

ily left

the ark only to discover God giving them

another promise: N

ever again would

God destroy the entire earth w

ith a flood.
