Mark 10:46-52Mark 10:46-52

You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have

because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

(James 4:2-3)

As you therefore have received

Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him

(Colossians 2:6)

This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;

(Eph 4:17-18)

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

(2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see

may see, and

that those who see may be made blind.”

(John 9:39)

Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind also?” Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.

(John 9:40-41)

And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see

may see, and

that those who see may be made blind.”

(John 9:39)

Bartimaeus Condition• Blind – incapacitating, incurable • Begging – in need….looking• Bartimaues = son of the

unclean, defiled• Timaeus = highly prized

You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have

because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive,

because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

(James 4:2-3)

Bartimaeus Condition• Blind – incapacitating, incurable • Begging – in need….looking• Bartimaues = son of the

unclean, defiled• Timaeus = highly prized

While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, saying, “What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?” They said to Him, “The Son of David.”

(Matthew 22:41-42)

You believe that there is one God.

You do well. Even the demons believe

—and tremble!

(James 2:19)

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

(2 Corinthians 2:14)

For we are to God the fragrance of

Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of

death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life

leading to life.

(2 Corinthians 2:15-16)

Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

(Acts 2:37)

Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?”

(Acts 8:36)

Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

(Acts 16:29-31)

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

(Deuteronomy 4:29)

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord …

(Jeremiah 29:13-14)

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

(Luke 11:9-10)

And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

(Luke 19:9-10)

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners…

(1 Timothy 1:15-17)

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

(Ephesians 2:8-9)

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

(Ephesians 2:10)

And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

(Luke18:43)
