In my 25 years of selling packaging to retailers, I have not seen any retail category thrive, particularly over the past �ve years, the way independent booksellers have. �at big river in South America be damned!

We believe that a town with an array of locally owned stores, restaurants, and businesses has more character + charm + vitality than a town that is over-run with chain stores, big box stores, and chain restaurants.
We know that when consumers buy from local businesses that more of that money circulates within the local economy. We know that local business owners care more for the health and well being of the community in which they live and work than big box stores or internet sellers do.
We truly believe that, in many communities across this country, consumers are increasingly preferring to buy from local businesses. �ey like the better service, the more personal service, the hand-curated choices. We truly believe that consumers are increasingly thinking outside of the big box and choosing to embrace locally owned businesses. Doing so enriches a community. In more ways than one. �e paper is made by hand, a sheet at a time, in mountainous villages of Nepal without the use of electricity or petroleum, just as it was over a thousand years ago.
It is a renewable and tree free resource. �e plant completely regenerates from the same root system after being harvested.
�e Lokta plant (from which all Graeham Owens’ paper andproducts are made) grows wild in the Himalayas at altitudes of 6,500 to 9,500 feet.
