Day 2: Wednesday, June 2, 2021 Milan, Italy - Italian Riviera - Tour Begins Today you travel to Italy’s
spectacular Riviera. Experience the
romance of travel along the colorful
coast of the Italian Riviera and check
in for your 4-night stay. Tonight, join
your fellow travelers at a local

Day 3: Thursday, June 3, 2021 Italian Riviera - Cinque Terre - Italian Riviera Spend the day exploring the colorful
cliff-side villages of the Cinque
Terre* with a local guide. Take in the
picturesque, rugged coastline dotted
with terraced vineyards as you travel
by rail. We make our way through this
seemingly inaccessible string of
fishing villages, nestled between the
mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.

Day 4: Friday, June 4, 2021 Italian Riviera - Cinque Terre - Italian Riviera Spend another glorious day exploring
the unique Cinque Terre* at your
leisure. You will discover a
magical land nestled between the
mountains and the Mediterranean that

Day 5: Saturday, June 5, 2021 Italian Riviera-Santa Margherita Ligure-Portofino-Italian Riviera Travel to the
seaside resort of Santa Margherita
Ligure. Board a boat** to glamorous
Portofino. Soak in the view of the
town’s colorful harbor, dotted by
fishing boats and yachts, set against a
backdrop of pastel-colored buildings.
Return to Santa Margherita Ligure for
free time to peruse its charming streets

Day 6: Sunday, June 6, 2021 Italian Riviera - Lucca - Tuscany Encircled
by 16th-century Renaissance walls,
Lucca exudes an old-world ambience.
Old storefronts and busy piazzas offer
a glimpse into the city’s medieval
past, which have served as local
gathering spots for more than 2,000
years. This afternoon, it’s your
choice! Discover Lucca on foot -OR-
pedal the city via bicycle. Whatever
you choose, you’ll see historic
marvels including the Cathedral of
San Martino and the Piazza
dell’Anfiteatro. After you’ve worked
up an appetite, tour Lucca’s specialty
food shops and sample the region’s
seasonal delicacies. Stop at a family-
owned leather shop and learn the
traditional Italian techniques of leather
making. End the day in a historic
Tuscan villa for a rejuvenating 4-night

Day 7: Monday, June 7, 2021 Tuscany - Siena - Tuscany Travel south to
Siena, where Romanesque and Gothic
architecture surround you within this
UNESCO World Heritage site. Walk
the narrow medieval streets on a
guided tour. Visit the Gothic
cathedral, an architectural marvel
featuring frescoes by Pinturicchio and
masterpieces by Pisano, Donatello,
and Michelangelo. Retreat to your
Tuscan villa for a relaxing afternoon.

Day 8: Tuesday, June 8, 2021 Tuscany - Florence - Tuscany Welcome to
Florence – the birthplace of the
Renaissance and the beloved home of
the Medici family, Galileo, Botticelli
and da Vinci. Set out on a walking
tour and see medieval Florence’s
treasures and monuments, including
the Piazza del Duomo – the center of
religious life in medieval Florence –
and the Piazza della Signoria. Visit the
world-famous Academy Gallery to see
Michelangelo’s unparalleled statue of
David. Enjoy time to explore Florence
independently before returning to your

Day 9: Wednesday, June 9, 2021 Tuscan Countryside Take in
Tuscany’s landscape, a spectrum of
verdant vineyards and endless groves.
In the heart of the countryside, a
family-owned wine estate welcomes
you. After a tour of the wine cellar,
the estate, the vineyards and the olive
groves, engage in a lunchtime cooking
lesson with the estate’s own chef.
Break bread during an authentic
Tuscan lunch and toast with wines
produced on-site. Return to your villa
for some leisure time in the afternoon.
Continue your culinary journey
tonight at a traditional Tuscan

Day 10: Thursday, June 10, 2021 Tuscany - Bologna - Venice On a
walking tour, discover the culture of
Bologna, a city barely changed since
the time of the Renaissance. Browse
the city’s specialty food shops and
sample local delicacies along the way.
Arrive later in Venice, the “Queen of
the Adriatic,” and settle in for a 2-
night stay in one of the most romantic
cities in the world. (B)
Day 11: Friday, June 11, 2021 Venice Spend the day in Venezia, the floating
city home to lavish art collections,
wonders of architecture, and where
marbled palaces tower over gondola-
laden canals. Travel by boat to
Murano**** for an expert glass-
blowing demonstration, a renowned
tradition on the island. Journey back
to St. Mark’s Square, Venice’s iconic
main square. A local guide takes you
on a tour of its incredible sites,
including the Bridge of Sighs, the
Clock Tower, and St. Mark’s Basilica.

paired with wines produced only feet away from you. Lose yourself in the beauty

In order to fully experience the destination, some of our hotels on these programs are located in smaller towns or on country roads where access is limited to large coaches. In these cases, you will be dropped off as close as possible and there will be a short walk to access the hotel from the drop-off area.

To complete your tour, we include roundtrip airport-to-hotel transfers when purchasing our airfare with your tour. If you have arranged for your own air, we are pleased to provide you the option of purchasing these transfers. Please note that all transfers will leave at pre-scheduled times.
Single accommodations are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis. When reserving single accommodations, be advised that single rooms in Italy are often smaller in size.
*Travel to Cinque Terre is by rail and boat. Boat trip is seasonal and operates on a weather permitting basis. When a boat is not available, travel will be by rail only. **The boat ride to Portofino operates on a weather permitting basis. When the weather is uncooperative, you will still visit Portofino, but you will travel there by local bus.
***Note that villas and country estates in Tuscany are dotted throughout the region and we use different properties on this program. Some may be located in the countryside, removed from a city center. Still others may be closer to the hustle and bustle of the region. Each one is unique, full of history, with many amenities, and brimming with true Tuscan flavor. This is part of the fun!
****On occasion, due to inclement weather, your boat trip to Murano Island may be substituted with a visit to a local glass factory in Venice.
The overall activity level of this tour is a level 3. This means you’re an on-the-go traveler. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (1-2 hours) isn’t a big deal. You can navigate hills and uneven ground, climb into various modes of transportation (tuk-tuk, cable car, Zodiac, etc.), and could possibly anticipate changes in elevation. You can expect some longer days balanced with free-time to recharge or set out on your own adventure.
Please be advised many airlines do not provide advance seat assignments until check-in at the airport. Advance seating will be subject to the airline's terms and conditions.
Our air guests will arrive into Milan airport and depart out of Venice airport. All departure transfers will depart from Venice city center to the Venice airport.
Economy air rate and schedule are applicable for groups of 10 or more traveling on the same flights and dates.
