My Hilltop

I think Hilltop has changed our lives! Whether it was conquering our fears up the All Aboard, dis-

covering trust in others in team tasks, or just learning to live away from home; we laughed all the

time (especially at the disco and Mr T’s fairy costume!!) and everyone found a friend in someone they didn’t really know. It was an amazing experience; the challenges, the feats, the triumph and the good feeling after-

wards. It boosted peoples confidence and made people think. We are glad to be home, but glad to

have been.

Connecting to Mali – Sangare School

Two Young Reporters decided to train up two Y7 prospective reporters and create a film of a day in the life of a Westley pupil. Saffron, Amy (8RJ) Lauren (7JA) and Callum (7JR) videoed our pupils in a variety of lessons to show the range of experience we have in education.

The school was delighted to receive the film and sent some pictures back which have been used as a resource in Geography lessons to promote awareness and strengthen links with our African School.
