HI Western TEAM.. Been a busy Spring and
now into Summer.. Went to the wonderful Yo-
semite National Park for a Week and Painted
every day.. So much to see.. Every direction..
The weather was so great.. About 76 degrees
everyday.. Then we had the Knights Ferry Re-
treat in Knights Ferry, California at the Odd Fel-
low Hall. 2 days of great classes. On May 15th
and 16th..
Eva Williams gave a class in Pastels, Roy Gould
showed us how to paint in Plain Ere , then on
Sunday we had Lena Marsden of Manteca, Ca
with a class on black paper and white chalk..
Was so fun.
Roy Gould again took us out for Watercolor as
we had a beautiful Rose Garden right out the
door.
Saturday evening we had dinner prepared by the
Rebecca Ladies and an Art Show with paintings
by members who attended the Retreat. The
judges were the Odd fellows who did a great job
at their first art Show..
We are invited back again next year..yayaya
Our thanks for the supplies from Chartpak/
Grumbacher… Everyone was so happy and it is
always fun to get us all together..
If you missed this year.. Plan on next May for
our 2nd Annual Spring Retreat…

2011 Pony Express Art Show in Las Vegas.

The fairs are on and boy friend Jim and I have
paintings in 3 shows.. Then we have a trip
planned to go to Kansas.. I have never been there
So wish us luck…

As a member of WESTERN TEAM….
The most beautiful place on Earth is Yosemite Na-
tional Park. And we were there in June.. The falls
were spectacular.. Lots and lots of water
Along came a couple of bears.. I was yelllling ‘where's my camera????where's
my camera??? And got some great shots.. Camera that is...they are just beautiful
creatures.. They aren't going to hurt you.. Just want your foooooooood.
Here is home for the week.. Joan Cardoza, Roy and Cora Gould and
their family and I… camping.. Food smells so good in the woods.
The pollen was very bad this
year and Roy had a terrible
time.. Was sent to the hospital
with a pain in his throat. But
he is ok now..
We are going back October 3
