ABB is a pioneering technology leader that works closely with utility, industry,
transport and infrastructure customers in more than 100 countries.
Continuing a history of innovation spanning more than 130 years, ABB today is
writing the future of industrial digitalisation with two clear value propositions:
bringing electricity from any power plant to any plug and automating industries
from natural resources to finished products.
ABB is a leader in digitally connected and enabled industrial equipment and
systems, with an installed base of more than 70,000 control systems connecting
70 million devices. Through our advanced technologies, we provide solutions
that increase the reliability, security and capacity of power generation,
transmission and distribution, and boost productivity in industrial, commercial
and utility operations.
In the utility sector, ABB offers power and automation products, systems, service
and software solutions across the generation, transmission and distribution
value chain. Their portfolio includes enterprise software, grid integration,
transmission, distribution and automation solutions and a complete range of high
voltage products and transformers.
Maintaining their position as one of the world’s leading engineering companies
requires technology leadership, global presence, application knowledge and
strong local expertise.
As title partner in ABB Formula E, the fully electric international FIA motorsport
class, ABB is pushing the boundaries of e-mobility to contribute to a sustainable
future.
ABB Australia has been a CEDA member since 2015.

engineering positions covering technical, field and system operational aspects
of electricity networks and markets.
In 2016, Cameron joined AEMO and has held executive positions leading
innovation, planning, forecasting and system operations. In his present role as

Jessica Shaw MLA
Member for Swan Hills, Chair Economics and Industry
Standing Committee, WA Legislative Assembly
Twitter: @Jess4SwanHills
Jessica Shaw is the Member for Swan Hills in the WA Legislative Assembly and
Chair of the Parliament’s multi-party Economics and Industry Standing
Committee. The EISC is currently undertaking an inquiry into Microgrids and
associated technologies.
Prior to entering parliament, Jessica was a commercial executive in the WA
energy industry. She began her career here in Perth in 2006 with CCIWA, as
Senior Adviser with responsibility for energy, resources, climate change,
environment, water and extractive industries.
She then held positions with Horizon Power, Dampier Bunbury Pipeline and
ATCO Australia, where she was responsible for developing and managing a wide
range of regulated and unregulated asset classes. She has extensive experience
in business development, commercial management and economic regulation in
both electricity and gas, and has also consulted to a wide range of firms.
Jessica’s decision to seek preselection for WA Labor in 2016 echoed an earlier
non-partisan political career in Canberra in the early 2000s. She was Political
and Economic Attaché to the British High Commission during a fascinating time
in international relations, in the lead-up to the Iraq War. She then worked for the
Australian Senate’s Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee on a range
of contentious inquiries, including Australia’s Military Justice System and the very
first Australian parliamentary inquiry into our trading and diplomatic relationship
with China.
Jessica has three undergraduate degrees in law, politics and international
relations and a Masters in Law from the University of Cambridge.
