WEST COAST GOES HIPThe enhanced Home Improvement Programme (HIP) which comes with Enhancement for Active Seniors (EASE) is “an opportunity not to be missed”, and residents of West Coast Division agreed wholeheartedly.
An overwhelming 87.7% of residents staying at Block 701 to 704 West Coast Road and Block 706, 707, 710, 715, 716, 717, 723 and 724 Clementi West Street 2 voted in favour of the HIP at the polling held on 15 to 18 Aug 2014. Residents will enjoy essential improvements that will be fully paid for by the Government; as well as a choice of optional and EASE components which will be heavily subsidised, and with easy payment schemes, said Mr S Iswaran, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Home Affairs and Trade and Industry, and Adviser to West Coast Grassroots Organisations.
Welcome to Boon Lay, make yourself at home, and get to know your neighbours. This was the warm, getting-to-know-you reception for residents of Block 180A-C and 181A-B Boon Lay Drive held on 23 Aug 2014, from 5pm to 8pm, at the precinct pavilion at Block 180.
The ambience could not be more neighbourly. There were opportunities aplenty for the residents to get to know their neighbours through activities, such as ‘Find it with your Neighbour’ stage game and ‘1-minute’ challenges. They were also able to interact with Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Second Minister for Communications and Information, and Adviser to Boon Lay Grassroots Organisations, as well as grassroots leaders.
The residents had an enjoyable evening while getting to know their neighbours and community leaders better. They enjoyed stage performances, interactive games, and were treated to a delicious spread of home-cooked food prepared by their neighbours. The event was certainly a good start to new friendships and stronger community bonding.

Hi Mr Fong,
I would like to extend my compliments to your staff, Valerie.
Over the past four years, I have raised certain issues pertaining to my estate in Clementi Ave 1. Valerie is always cheerful and approachable, and rendered her assistance to solve the various issues. She has always left me feeling how blessed my family is to be living under the care of an officer who is responsive and responsible.
She is such a gem and I thought you should know it too.
Thanks very much for your leadership in WCTC and for having a staff like Valerie.
Best Rgds,Mrs Charmaine Liew
Dear West Coast Town Council,
I’ve been using the iTown@SG app to report various problems at my
block for more than a year, and I would like to commend the West
Coast Town Council for their efficient and quick response to all the
problems alerted.
You have gone beyond being just a function and have shown great
responsibility and pride in keeping the estate in good order. It’s a job
well done!
Thank you for serving the community!
Blessings,Diana
