Making Ocean Huge – Judging & Rules
JudgingJudging is based on the GROWTH in number of shipments per month for combined LCL and FCL business.The baseline has been created by using FY’05 stats., the accumulation of the year, and then averaged. Each month in FY’06 will then be measured against this baseline number and a growth percentage will then be assessed. Regular Season FEBRUARY - JULY Every branch that grows their business will be A WINNER, TOP 8 BRANCHES enter the Play Offs At the end of the Regular Season Play-Offs AUGUST Top branch per division , 6 Winners , with largest overall shipment growth from February thru July enters the Play-Offs. Two wildcard teams with the 2nd largest growth overall will be added. The TOP 4 TEAMS with the highest % growth in August then enter the Divisional Series in Septemeber Divisional Series SEPTEMBERA new, NOW HIGHER, baseline will be developed using the shipment numbers from February thru August The TOP TWO teams with the highest % growth in the Month of September will then enter the UTi World Series.
UTi World Series OCTOBER Once again a new baseline will be developed based on the shipment numbers from February thru September. The winner will be the team with the highest % growth in OCTOBER. RulesOnly Positive Margin NVOCC Shipments countAny shipments with $0.00 or $-1.00 in Local Profit After Spread share will count against total shipment count. i.e. 500 shipments; 25 shipments have either $0.00 or $-1.00 = 475 shipments.
