TRANSCRIPT
• We’re certainly living in an incredible time when God is restoring the power of praise and worship to His people.
• In fact, He promised that there would be a generation that would be created to praise Him in the last days!
• Psalm 102:18 – “Let this be recorded for future generations, so that a people not yet born will praise the Lord.” (NLT)
• There will be a generation near the end of the age that will be raised up to sing praises to the Lord—a generation of worshipers.
• In the context of this verse, it is apparent that it will be believers from all over the world who will praise the Lord!
• It will be a global generation that will praise the Lord!
• We are actually witnessing this explosion of worship all over the planet right now!
• Everywhere Lisa and I travel and it doesn’t matter what continent we are on, believers are lifting their hands and worshiping God.
• There has been a literal explosion of new songs, worship songs being written.
• Songs are coming from Australia, Central and South America, England, Scotland, Ireland, & Israel.
• You can travel to Kenya, Guatemala, Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, London and Elkins and believers are singing Chris Tomlin’s How Great is our God! It is an amazing time!
• This certainly gives us another prophetic sign that we are living in the last days.
• We are living in that generation! • This is the hour this prophetic word is being
fulfilled.
Malachi 1:11 – But My Name is honored by people of other nations from morning till night. All around the world they offer sweet incense and pure offerings in honor of My Name. For My Name is great among the nations," says the Lord of Heaven's Armies. (NLT)
• This is a picture of the promise God gave to Abraham that through his offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed.
• True Worshipers were small in number & confined.
• Here we see a different picture. • Believers are all over the world. • incense = prayers offerings = worship • Prayers and worship will be offered to the Lord from
all over the world!• Today, for the first time in history, we have a
believer in every nation on earth! • This is the first time this verse can even come close
to being fulfilled!
• I don’t know about you, but I want to be a part of that Generation of Worshipers!
• It’s a global thing, and we are hooking up with what God is doing around the world.
• This is the same picture we see in heaven just like the one we saw in Malachi.
Revelation 5:9-12 – 9 And they sang a new song with these words: "You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. 10 And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign on the earth."
11 Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne and of the living beings and the elders. 12 And they sang in a mighty chorus: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered—to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing."
• TABERNACLE ILLUSTRATION – a brief sketch of what God has been restoring to the church over the last 500 years by using the Tabernacle.
• Background – From around AD 300 when the Roman Emperor Constantine legalized Christianity to around 1500 much was lost from the Church.
• Called the Dark Ages. • Over the past 500 years God has been in the
process of restoring rightful worship to the Church.

LavarLavar
• Lavar – A washbowl made of polished bronze that worked like a mirror.
• The priest used this to wash themselves before they entered the Holy Place of the tabernacle to do the work of the Lord.
• This is equal to the Pietists Movement of the 1600’s and 1700’s.
• God was restoring the concept of personal holiness to the Church.
• We are to live right before the Lord.

• Table of Showbread – This was where fresh loaves of bread were placed in the Tabernacle.
• Bread = Word of God • In the 1800’s, there was a renewed emphasis on each
believer reading the Word for himself. • The foundation for this was laid by Martin Luther, other
reformers & Wycliffe who 1st translated the Bible into English.
• All of this culminated in the 1800’s with a very Biblically literate church.

• Oil = Holy Spirit • In 1906, the Pentecostal Movement began during the Azusa
Street Revival in Los Angeles and has spread throughout the world in a dramatic fashion.
• Add the Healing Revival of the 40’s-50’s, and you see how God has been restoring elements to the Church.
• The Pentecostal Movement is actually the main cause for the explosive growth of believers around the world in the last 100 years.

Altar of Altar of IncenseIncenseArk of the Ark of the
CovenantCovenant
• Finally, we come to the last piece which was right before the Veil that separates the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies where the Lord dwelt on the Mercy Seat of the Ark of Covenant.
• Altar of Incense – this was a golden altar where incense was placed on the hot coals and a sweet smelling fragrance was lifted before the Lord.
• This is where we are right now in Church History—this altar represents prayer and worship that is offered up to the Lord (Malachi 1:11).
• The last major component God is restoring to the Church is Prayer and Worship!
• Or, as we read last week—Harp and Bowl.• What has been happening over the last 30 years? • A literal explosion of Worship music from all over
the globe!
• I believe we are a part of that generation God promised He would raise up!
• A generation that would be created to Praise Him!• Psalm 102:18-22 – 18 Let this be recorded for future
generations, so that a people not yet born will praise the Lord.
• As I stated earlier, God is raising up a generation that will truly worship Him in spirit and in truth.
• We have been privileged to live during that time!
19 Tell them the Lord looked down from His heavenly sanctuary. He looked down to earth from heaven 20 to hear the groans of the prisoners, to release those condemned to die.
• He looked down and saw each of us prisoners to sin.• He sent His Son, Jesus to release us from captivity
to the devil, and that is why we praise Him.
21 And so the Lord's fame will be celebrated in Zion, His praises in Jerusalem, 22 when multitudes gather together and kingdoms [nations] come to worship the Lord.” (NLT)
• God is gathering a generation from all over the world who will truly worship Him as He created us to do.
• He is earnestly looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.
• Will you make the commitment this morning to be a part of that special Generation of Worshipers?
• Have you reached the place where you don’t care what others think when you worship?
• As for me and my house, we will worship the Lord!
