"I have received the report from the [SBI] student team and am very pleased with it! I was not expecting such a detailed analysis, covering many more areas than I had requested. This report is more informative than the professional consulting provided to me in the past. I am grateful to your program and delighted with your students' efforts. I am sure that this experience has given them more insight into actual business operations than could be achieved through class lectures." – Satisfied Client

those types of firms.

The Center coordinates interdisciplinary curricula and programs to best meet the needs of students and the local community.

The Center chooses projects and programs with first consideration of the potential benefit to our students.

The WFCSBE provides students with hands-on educational and “real world” opportunities while benefiting the community through service learning, partnerships, workshops, seminars, and support of relevant applied research.

Justifications

1.) CSUN logo next to a name like Wells Fargo tells the reader it is from a reputable source. 2.) The title tells the reader that the brochure is business related. 3.) A picture of a young student helping an older individual while wearing professional clothing indicates what the brochure will be about before the reader even opens it. This image conveys many messages to the reader that would take too long to read in text form. 4.) An updated tagline to show importance that shows the a positive first impression. 5.) A more in depth explanation of what is meant by the tagline in 4. It doesn’t say free as the service may be regarded as cheap or non-valuable. 6.) Logos on each fold of the brochure to build credibility that it is from a trustworthy source. 7.) A fun way to ask if they have any questions, post it notes are commonly used in the workplace. 8.) All of the contact information to learn more about the service. Each person has their own preference to contact someone. 9.) A logo that inspires to work together with Wells Fargo. Encouraging the reader to call. 10.) The new mission statement that summarizes the purpose of the entire service. 11.) Pictures to demonstrate that students will be doing working with businesses. The picture also shows that they will have to input their learning and leadership skills in order to get results like in a computer. 12.) By this point the reader wants to have a more thorough explanation of what the service is about. 13.) Previous satisfied clients build up the value of a service that is free of charge. 14.) Small business owners will know briefly what kind of services that is available from the center. 15.) Students will wonder, “What is in it for me?” These benefits are important set of skills that they cannot only carry with them to their next job but with their lives. 16.) This briefly explains how the service will help the students. It is important for the students to know that they are the first to be considered in the service. 17.) At this point business owners want to know what can they get from this. They don’t have the time to consider what they can get out of it. This section tells them where in their business can they get help. This section has been updated to what we believe the positioning of WFCSBE should be. These are the important attributes our target would look for. 18.) The small business owners that believe they can do everything themselves is a big mistake. This is intended to target them. This is a good focal point for a compelling image 19.) Students interested in actually getting started will have to know it is only limited to business majors that take those classes. 20.) Ending with a powerful quote from a successful inventor. Gaining new knowledge from these services enables these individuals to better combat their future. 21.) Examples of the various types of projects that the CSUN students can provide for Business Clients. It gives the owners an idea of what exactly they can do with the services.
