This guide is not a quantifiable measure of your wellbeing or a diagnosis tool. It will help you to raise your self-awareness and make small, positive changes to proactively improve your mental health and wellbeing.

Keeping Wellbeing on Your RadarA guide to helping yourself and others

Wellbeing RadarBeing emotional, tense, tired, anxious or angry are all normal feelings. It is when these emotions are heightened or persist for extended times that they may become problematic for your wellbeing. These factors can impact your ability to function in everyday tasks at work and at home. Thinking back over recent weeks, how often have you been bother by the following:

Self-CareSome of the positive steps you can take could be to learn positive ways of managing stress, setting limits on what you’re able to do, adopting healthy habits, and scheduling fun activities into your day.

Contacts and SupportSpeak with a trusted friend, family member, or colleague about what you are experiencing. They can assist you to reflect on any changes they have noticed in your normal patterns or behaviours.

Your manager can support you in considering work commitments and priorities that may need addressing, or options for managing a work-related manner.

A trained peer from the DELWP Peer Support Program are trained to listen to and support staff. This might include considering your options for action or linking to a variety of resources.

A confidential support such as the Workplace Conciliator who is a trained, confidential and independent person that is able to coach you through addressing your needs.

Professional Services

Employee Assistance Program for free, confidential, short-term counselling and coaching for DELWP staff and their immediate family.
