• Why are we here?– Training

• Focus on how to improve, not how to use• Best practices, project setup, tips and tricks• The Fast and the Furious III: RTC

– Community• RTC is a user driven event• Presenters are users of the software, so understand your approach and your needs• Not a sales venue – discuss the problems, not just the ‘pretty bits’

• What should we take away from today?– Handouts!– Setup

• What to do to be ready before you start• How to get started• Developing good habits and avoiding bad

– Possibilities• See how existing users are achieving results• See what can be achieved with the software• See some of the new features in Revit 2008• Hear about some of the development process

• Examples:– RSI of the left pointer finger?

• In the element properties dialogue box you can click in some fields and select an entry from a pull down list

• By clicking at the point where the pull down list will appear, you can save one click... !!!! (if you do this 100 times a day, this is a big deal)

– Which room was that?• When tagging a room, you can click on the name and then type in a new

name• If you have a room schedule, the names are available here• Tile the windows so that you can see the room schedule and plan

simultaneously• Select a room in the schedule, see how it highlights in the plan, change

the name in the schedule
