Samantha Simmonds Stephen Street Kitchen

Samantha Simmonds, former journalist with

BBC and news anchor at Sky News, attempts to

answer the following questions:

Why do Fox News and CNN offer such

different content?

Why does Donald Trump brand CNN

"fake news"?

How do journalists on live TV source

their material and seek to guarantee its

authenticity?

How can we differentiate between the

impartiality or otherwise of TV news in

the UK versus that in the US?

E2, for International English, consists of three parts:

Part One: Succeeding in International English

This short part presents six fundamental concepts: “audience, purpose, genre, structure, and

language”. By understanding and making use of these, students will improve their English skills.

Part Two: Going International

This part contains four chapters according to the competence aims under Culture, society and

literature: Global Issues, Multicultural Societies, The Media and Work and Education.

Part Three: Communicating Better

20 courses provide systematic instructions and model answers to help students acquire the

necessary language and communication skills needed on the exam, in further studies and

working life.
