Merry Christmas!
“She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
Today we celebrate that the prophetic dream of St. Joseph was fulfilled! Jesus is born! A Savior has come to de-liver us—Emmanuel, “God is with us.” Christmas is a feast of fulfillment, a holiday of deep and enduring hap-piness not only because God became man and was born of a woman, but because along with his Incarnation, God brought us freedom. Jesus is the long-awaited Messiah who sets us free from the misery of our own sins. This is the ultimate gift of Christmas Day.
With that in mind, our vision for Holy Eucharist is to celebrate every day that freedom God has brought us. We are doing that by Making Church Matter and Growing Disciples. Our strategy is to bring a fresh and rele-vant presentation of the life changing message of the Gospel. We are here to assist you on a journey to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Key to this experience is the weekend experience of Message, Music and Ministers working together to create an irresistible environment of energy and excellence in which newcomers feel welcome. Also our plan is to create excellent weekend programs for kids and students where the message usually parallels the adult message.
We want you to come back. We want you to become members if you are not already and eventually serve in ministry, worship through your offerings. We want you to increasingly honor God in all areas of your lives. We encourage you to invest in and invite your friends to our weekend experience. Our strategy is to try to meet people exactly where you are in order to challenge you to take your next step and become an active member of Holy Eucharist community.
Today as a sign of our love for one another we exchange gifts, but also it is a concrete, visible way to celebrate the gift that we have first received from God. We are free people! We are not slaves but rather the children of God whose priceless inheritance is to dwell in his kingdom for all eternity. On this most festive day of the year, we are invited to exult in this fact and spare little effort or expense to show our gratitude and joy.
May Christmas blessings be yours in abundance.
God bless you always.

W ELCOME TO OUR CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
We as a parish community welcome you and, perhaps, in a sense, have been
waiting for you! Whether a first time visitor or long time member, we believe
that every person who comes into this special community of faith has the
power to reveal God's presence. We most sincerely hope that you will find
God's presence among the many people who are part of this community.
Above all else, we are glad you are here and we are excited to share with you the marvelous ways in
which God is working in our parish. It won't take long for you to discover that this is truly a family.
Growing and journeying together, we worship, we serve, we laugh, we cry , we learn and we reach out
to our world. If you are looking for a community to pray with, journey with, search with, and serve
with, we say again - Welcome to Holy Eucharist!
We love being part of a great faith community and every weekend
we come together to experience vibrant liturgies, beautiful seasonal

Beginning January 8th, Father Andrew will introduce a new message series called
Greater Than. In a message series, a thought provoking and engaging theme runs
through a number of homilies that also speaks to the Sunday readings. For the next
four weeks, we will explore the topic of worry. It means to think about problems or
fears. It is to feel concern about something bad that might happen to us. We turn
over and over in our minds events that are beyond our control in some hopes of tak-
ing control. Jesus taught very practically that worry is useless. It does not add to our
lives and can only distract us from enjoying what God has given us. In this series we
will look at the useless nature of worry and how to fight against it. Join us !
We thank all those involved in ministry at Holy Eucharist. You are the
heart and pulse of our parish. If you are not engaged in ministry, browse
our ministry brochure available at the welcome center or online at
http://holyeucharist.org/#/ministry for the many ways that you can
move from a member of our parish to a minister. Once you start to under-
stand how much God loves you, you’ll definitely want other people to experience it too! Our minis-
tries do two things: they show God our love for him and they create an environment where others
can experience his love. If you would like, try out a ministry before committing. Find out what it's
all about. We welcome you - you are an integral part of making disciples at Holy Eucharist! Con-
tact the ministry leader directly or complete our Next Step form

The Church looks to the young; or rather the Church in a special way sees herself
in the young."
—Pope Saint John Paul II
With great joy we welcome our young families to Church of the Holy
Eucharist! Whether your family is new to the community, returning, or
just starting formal religious education, we welcome you to our programs.
They are designed not to replace, but rather support the Catholic faith already being lived in your
home. As parents, you are the first and foremost catechists of your children. The goal of all catech-
esis is to lead us to a deeper connection to Christ and His Church thus living out more fully our Cath-
olic Christian faith. We seek to accomplish this through our programs using scripture, stories, activi-
ties, service and the interactions between peers and adults.
Our monthly Family Faith Formation program, LIFT!, offers families the opportunity to pray to-
gether, grow as disciples and develop spiritual habits that will lead to a deeper relationship with
Christ. It is a family experience – we accommodate the entire family in each monthly session - we
have child care for infants, an experiential program for parents and children in levels 1-8, and the op-
portunity for high school students to assist as volunteers in the program. It is a weekend experience -
with the Mass at the center of our faith formation, we come together for an authentic worship experi-
ence, a deeper understanding and family with God's Word and exploration of our faith. It's a
continuing experience at home with guided lessons and activities to enrich your home faith journey
throughout the month. Registration for 2016-17 begins in June. For more information, visit

REMEMBERING OUR S ICK
“And the Word became flesh” John 1:14
Jesus is God’s ultimate gift of love to us. The countless other blessings that God showers upon us are nothing
compared to the gift of His only Son. The only appropriate way for us to respond to such generous love is with
our own generous love. When we dedicate our lives to sharing all the gifts God has placed in our hands, the
peace of Christ truly will control our hearts and we will know Christmas joy every day.
At Holy Eucharist we encourage all to look at their giving as a response to the blessings God has given them throughout their lives. Giving of our treasure is an important commitment. Your support either through Sunday collections or remembering Holy Eucharist in your will are important building blocks for the programs, facilities
and functions of our parish. Visit the parish website for more information www.holyeucharist.org.
Thank you for your continued generosity.
