8am-3pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8am-12:30pm (Early Dismissal Day) on Wednesday

Character Development The staff wants school to be a positive

experience for your child.  His/her elementary school years should be full of wonderful memories that he/she will always cherish.

following declaration and rules are designed to teach children appropriate social behaviors throughout the entire school.

Declaration:   We believe that the purpose of discipline is to help a

student change inappropriate behavior that will lead to positive life-long learning behaviors.

  We believe that the environment of Leonardo da

Vinci Charter School must be violence free from of all forms of harassment, intimidation, and bullying.

Declaration:   We believe in shared responsibility where staff,

parents, and students work together to create the safest possible environment for scholastic excellence and appropriate behavior.

  We believe in the right of teachers to teach and in the

right of students to learn in a classroom environment that is free from disruptions caused by chronic student truancy and misbehavior.

Our goal is that Leonardo da Vinci Charter students will:

Come to school on time prepared work to the best of their ability and complete all assigned tasks.

Show courtesy to everyone by listening, being polite, and using good manners.

Respect all property by taking pride in our school, keeping it clean inside and out

Not interrupt the learning environment but work quietly using a six inch voice in the classroom and walk silently in the hallways.

Your child is being taught to be assertive and reflective by using the following problem solving strategies.

When someone is bothering you will:1. Tell them that you do not like what they are

doing 2. Ask them to stop, give them the chance to

apologize, and change their behavior.3. If they don’t stop, then move away from them

and let the teacher know what they are doing.

Members are elected and serve a two year term. Meetings are open to the public and are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00
