Core modules.
• MKT1001 Foundations of Marketing
An introduction to marketing concepts and how marketing impacts on organisations, customers and other stakeholders.
• ACC1003 Introductory Accounting and Finance
Providing an understanding of different areas of accounting, including financial account management, and basic financial techniques.
• BUS1001 Business Environment
By examining current topics such as sustainability and digital advancements this module examines how the external environment affects decision making in companies.

• BSO1010 Information Management
A module designed to provide the digital literacy for todays working environment. You will use, analyse and engage with a range of digital business tools as well as discuss topical digitally related issues with a work-based perspective.
• HRM1004 Managing People
Offering you practical people management knowledge through examining roles and responsibilities as well as how management and leadership functions are implemented.
• BUS1009 Business in Society
Designed to introduce you to the debate as to how companies balance the demands of different (conflicting?) stakeholder groups. With a focus on ethics and governance this module extends your thinking beyond business as a profit oriented entity.

An examination of business decision making at a strategic level. This module covers business growth and continuity, climate change and sustainability, and tech trends.
• HRM2049 Career Development and Employability
A practical approach towards developing skills that employers seek in todays graduates. From CV building and interview skills to professionalism and conduct.

Provides an understanding of the core areas of Human Resource Management. The module has a focus on resourcing and improving organisational performance.
• BSO2003 Operations Management
Provides an overview of how organisations manage processes and resources that are aligned to the delivery of products and services. Includes planning control and managing operational performance.
• BSO2017 Business Systems and Operations
An introduction to the role of information technology in business operations, security and data management and how these are used in business decision making.
• ACC2004 Managing Finance and Financial Decisions
This module examines financial decision making and financial issues for managers.
• MKT2001 Tactical and Strategic Marketing
Enabling you to develop your practical marketing skills using concepts and techniques to produce marketing strategies to achieve organisational goals.
• BSO2016 Project Management: Planning and Control
Covering the underlying principles to enable planning and control of specific projects.
• MKT2031 Issues in Small Business and Entrepreneurship
To explore and examine the challenges of small businesses - nationally and internationally.
• MKT2006 Brand Management
An exploration of concepts and practice of strategic brand management offering a framework for comprehensive analysis and reflection.

Enables you to explore contemporary strategic debates in detail through a combination of group discussions and independent study.
• BUS3001 Social Responsibility of Business
Covering a broad range of issues relating to social responsibility and governance of businesses. An increasingly important area with consequential impact on firm performance.
• BUS4001 Business Dissertation
A 40 credit module where you select your topic of interest and report on your own findings and conclusions.

• BUS3003 Global Business Development
Understand, analyse and debate the increasingly interlinked and global nature of business through the adoption of different strategies.
• BSO3004 Operations Management
A study of advanced operation techniques, frameworks and models that are used in a business context.
• BUS3011 Developing Cross-Cultural Capability
Observing different cultures globally and the impact of multicultural workforces, supply chains and international trade to business practice.
• HRM3008 Organisational Change
Observe factors affecting change in organisations. In particular examining change through managing people.
• BSO3014 Project Management: Managerial Perspectives
Develop practical project management skills with a focus on key issues surrounding project managers in a managerial context.
• MKT3026 Opportunity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The module highlights sources and opportunities for innovation and the entrepreneurial mind-set needed for successful start ups and corporate entrepreneurship.
