My Shows

All the shows recorded by your TiVo, including podcasts and downloaded shows, appear on the My Shows screen. Highlight any title in My Shows (even a show that’s still recording) and press PLAY to view the show from beginning or to resume playing where you left off.

To get to My Shows super-fast from any screen, press the TiVo button at the top of your remote twice.

Parental Controls

Controlling access is easy.Parental Controls help you make sure your family has access to only those shows you want them to watch. From the TiVo Home screen, choose the Menu icon > ‘Settings’ > ‘Parental Controls.’

Search & OnePass®

Find anything fast! Your TiVo box searches program listings for titles, keywords or actor/director names, and gives you results all at the same time.

SearchFind what you love to watch.From the TiVo Home screen, select Search, then enter a few letters of the show title or actor’s name, and the TiVo service searches across TV, On Demand and the Internet to find matches.

OnePass® Find every episode—no matter where it happens to be.To set up OnePass, select a show you want to watch, press the Info button and select Create a OnePass (press the Rec button if you are already watching). Shows can be selected from various places, including search results and from the guide. If you would like to change the options for your OnePass, select the show you want to modify and scroll to “OnePass Options”, then select “Modify OnePass.” OnePass allows you to save all your current and future recordings as well as links to streaming content in a My Shows folder. In addition, OnePass organizes all your shows by starting with any season of your choosing.

Recommendations

SmartBarGet personalized recommendations.The SmartBar predicts shows to watch based on what your household usually watch at a particular time or day. For example, if you normally watch the previous night’s late-night talk show the next morning, you’ll see it in the SmartBar when you wake up. If the kids tend to watch shows while dinner’s cooking, those shows will be waiting in the SmartBar at that time each day.

Use the DOWN arrow on your remote control to move to the SmartBar, then the and arrows to move around. Select a show to go to the Series or Movie screen, where you can choose to watch it.

TiVo® SuggestionsRecord shows that match your preferences.Based on the ratings you give to shows and movies, TiVo Suggestions automatically selects and records new content on your TiVo. It’s a great way to make new discoveries. Don’t worry, TiVo Suggestions won’t override your own recordings or steal valuable disk space. If you choose to auto-record TiVo Suggestions, you’ll find a list of recorded TiVo Suggestions in your My Shows list. TiVo Suggestions are marked with a Suggestions icon®.

Music, Photos & More

Stream TV, music, videos and more on all your favourite apps. Explore popular apps on your TiVo by pressing the TiVo button on your remote and selecting Apps.

The Plex App organizes your video, music and photo collections and streams them right to your TiVo box. Just complete the set-up process for the Plex App on all devices involved in the transfer before streaming content from your computer to your TiVo PVR. A basic version of the Plex App is free to use, while more advanced versions are available. Visit plex.tv to find the version that fits your needs.

To access Plex:• Press the TiVo button on your remote control to get to TiVo Home.

• Select Apps.

• Select Plex.

• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Voice Control

To control your TiVo box with your voice, you must use a VOX remote that is paired correctly with your TiVo box. To issue a voice command, press and hold the button, and speak naturally into the remote (note the microphone location in the image to the right). Release the button when you have finished speaking.

Here are some things you can do with voice:• Search by title, actor, or keyword: “Find Modern Family” or “Show me some actionmovies.” HINT: Add on to your initial command to get more specific. For example, after the command, “Show me some action movies,” you could add “From the 80s... just the oneswith Bruce Willis.”• Watch a show: “Play the latest episode of Modern Family.”• Launch an app: “Launch Netflix.”• Change channels: “Go to NBC.” or “Go to WCGtv.”• Go to a TiVo menu screen: “Take me home,” or “Show me the Guide.”

Watch TV shows and movies streamed directly to your TiVo with your Netflix subscription. There’s no need to buy extra devices or hook up your laptop to your television – TiVo lets you easily access and watch Netflix right on your TV.

VU-IT!® App

The free VU-IT! (VUIT) App for your iOS or Android devices is the ultimate entertainment app providing control, discovery and a mobile place for viewing. Watch live or recorded TV via your TiVo, find shows, schedule recordings and browse content via the guide, by genre or category, explore the cast and crew, and even see where the content is available whether it be through cable TV, YouTube and more.

Download or update the VU-IT! App on your favourite mobile device. Search “VU-IT” in the Apple App or Google Play Store and download the app to your device. To log in, you will need your wcgwave.ca email address and password. If you don’t have one or have forgotten it, call 204.725.4300 or toll free: 1.800.665.3337.

Launch the VU-IT! App on your mobile device. (Make sure your TiVo PVR is connected to your home network).

Follow on-screen instructions to connect to your TiVo PVR or go to Settings menu and tap “Streaming Setup.”

Select Menu > Settings > Network Settings>TiVo Service Connection. In two to ten minutes you will be connected.
