ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY
Nicholas Armstrong PRAYER
Mr Anthony Beacroft
In Jesus we have an example of a master teacher, and in Blessed
Edmund Rice we have a great man with an unparalleled passion for the education of the poor.
At St Edward’s we use both as an inspiration and an example of how we should approach education.
So we give thanks tonight for the teachers who have committed so diligently to their task.
We give thanks for the families that value education and provide a suitable environment for meaningful learning to occur at home.
And finally and most importantly, we give thanks for our brilliant boys who have tried so hard to achieve their best.
Lord, give us all the inspiration and determination to keep striving to be our best. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Please remain standing for first verse of the National Anthem. Advance Australia Fair (arrangement by Ed Wilson)
Australians all let us rejoice; For we are young and free;
We’ve golden soil and wealth for toil; Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in nature’s gifts Of beauty rich and rare;
In history’s page, let every stage Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing Advance Australia Fair.
Please be seated.
