The agro-industrial complex is one of the most sustainable sectors of the Tatarstan's economy. By the ending 2009 over 140,000 workers were employed in agriculture.
In all sectors of economy overall output accounted for € 2.82 billion. In 2009, 4.8 million MT of grain was gathered, 1.9 million MT of milk produced, 413,000 MT of cattle and poultry bred. Despite the fact that the territory of the Republic lies within the risky agricultural zone, it enjoys self-sufficiency in basic agricultural produce and is successful in selling them outside the republic.

Holds over 200,000 hectares of land and over 130 enterprises. 6 mega-farms (4,000-5,000 milk cows each) in Tatarstan, with the area of each exceeding 86,000 square metres. By 2012, the company plans to increase its daily milk yield up to 1 million litres.
