Introduction

The Oxbridge Applications Online Summer School is a comprehensive 8 week programme, tailored to your application to Oxford and Cambridge.

Summer 2020 will see the inaugural ‘Online Summer School’, marking Oxbridge Applications’ 20th Year. Taking the very best of what Oxbridge Applications has to offer, the 8-week programme is intended to develop aspiring Oxbridge students into compelling applicants through Oxbridge style teaching, mock interviews, personal statement drafting, and access to our in-house Oxbridge consultancy team.

T H E PR O G R A M M E The programme will run from July to August, and consist of:

1. An initial Private Consultation with Oxbridge Applications

Private Consultations will be led by a senior Oxbridge advisor within Oxbridge Applications, and will help students to confirm course and University choice, go over the main concerns they have in the application process, and allow us to learn about the student in order to match them with the perfect mentor.

2. 8 weekly hour-long mentoring sessions in your chosen subject

Mentoring sessions last an hour and happen once a week, emulating the Oxbridge tutorial system. Mentors, assigned by Oxbridge Applications, will guide on extra reading, help explore new topics of interest, ask unusual and testing questions, and encourage students to develop specialisms beyond the school syllabus. Each session is followed by a written report.

3. 4 hour-long subject-specific mock interviews

In the final 4 weeks of the Summer School, students have four hour-long mock interviews, each led by a different subject-specific Oxbridge graduate. Our expert, highly-trained tutors will conduct formal interviews, followed by feeding back development points to improve your interview technique.

4. 2 face-to-face personal statement review meetings

To ensure that students demonstrate their true potential in this crucial document, we review 3 separate drafts of each Summer School student’s personal statement in-depth, including 2 face-to-face meetings, and an additional written review. Our students will also have access to Personal Statements from successful past applicants.

5. 1 interview with a former Oxbridge admissions tutor

Students finish their Summer School with the closest simulation of the real thing – an hour spent one-on-one with a former Oxbridge admissions tutor in their subject area, who previously were responsible for making decisions for Oxford or Cambridge university. Each session features a full mock interview as well as verbal and written feedback.

The cost of the Oxbridge Applications Online Summer Course is £3,200, payable upon enrolling.

Admissions Test Tuition can be bought in a package of four hours, along with our own mock tests, for £495.
