It could not have been random chance that all these atoms, molecules and cells could come together in a way to create the world we live in. There must have been someone who has a plan for us and where we live. We call that person big enough to be eternal and create all of this God. We are part of a plan, and since we are made in his image, we also plan. God’s understands us better than we know ourselves, and his plan is for us to be with him. We are his creation and design. He loves us and wants us to come live with him as people who love him. He is holy and lives in a place of goodness, beauty and light. In order to live with him we must be able to live in a place like that. We have to become people like him. Since we are created in his image, that should not be a problem. We didn’t start with sin, but we chose it. We allow things and people in our life that will destroy our place with God, and so, we move on with our own plan. We see the condition of the world with all the pollution and contamination of the soil, air and water. The world didn’t start that way. When we use things without a plan of maintaining the purity, we end with something we don’t want. We end up moving to a new place and starting over, thinking it will be different, only to have the same undesirable results. We need a plan that brings God’s creation, our own life and the way we live into harmony. Jesus has a plan for his church that he explains in the New Testament. As we grow in Christ, it may seem that his plan adjusts, but he had our development in mind all along. The plan for a child is not the same plan for an adult. When we were a child, our task was to go play. By doing that, we learned to get along with other people and develop relationships. The plan for being a Christian and growing is not the same as when we first became a Christian. It can’t be reduced to a few facts and actions that never change. We grow up into the fullness of Christ. Some think church never changes. It isn’t supposed to. We are to change in how we live in it just like a child changes to adult, parent and grand parent in a family. We should not look at the childhood of our Christianity and think that it isn’t relevant to us because now we are mature. We should learn what mature Christianity looks like and enjoy that time with God. --Terry Mesa Ministries Adult Education Dallas Kingsbury Any Soldier Debbie Suazo Attendance David Woodrow Babies & Toddlers Brandon Clark* Bible Bowl Brad Kerley Benevolence Paul Garrison* Building & Grounds Wayne Timbush* Tim Carlin* Children’s Bible Hour Keith Wilson* Children’s Education Family Dallas Kingsbury Josh Warren* Fellowship Jonathan Bouley* Calvin Glenn* Finance Danny Church 4Sixteen Jack & Leanne Farr Greeting/Visitation Curtis Allen IT Jim Bolton* Tom Jacobson* LTC Joshua Warren* Men’ Ministry Vince McNeil* Missions Kim Clark* Harry Mo* Pantry Boni Flores* Q-Bees Jo Birdwell Security Bruce Erno Spanish Ilme Ortiz* Jorge Ramirez* Transportation Paul Garrison* Worship Terry Singleton Edison Quevedo (*Denotes Deacon) LTC News Acapella Music Video will meet Wednesday, December 26th, at 6 PM in room 104.
