Calcium and phosphorous are two of the most important macro-minerals in terms of quantity required by horses, but it is the ratio of these elements which is crucial.

This is particularly important where horses are fed a diet with high grain intake as grains can have a ratio of phosphorous to calcium as high as 6 to 1.

PSYLLIUM - ASSISTS REMOVAL OF SAND & SOIL PARTICLES IN THE GUT

Sand Shifter contains psyllium husk powder, a revolutionary bulk forming natural fibre derived from psyllium seed.

Once in the horse’s digestive tract, psyllium forms a fibrous gel which adheres to the sand particles preventing them from staying in the gut and causing potential blockages. Its bulk forming capacity encourages movement by peristalsis, aiding the removal of blockages from the horse’s digestive tract.

Aniseed flavouring normally irresistible to horses has been added to increase palatability.


For a 500kg horse feed 150g of powder for 4-5 days.

Once the sand particles have been eased through the gut the horse may require feeding for a further 2-3 weeks to rid the colon of sand.

Transvite Digest is a combined Probiotic and Prebiotic Powder which is suitable for feeding to horses to improve digestive function. The active component Saccharomyces Cerevisiae has been proven to improve fibre digestion in horses. Fructo-oligosaccharides are a food substance for existing beneficial bacteria in the hind gut.

While the general purpose of this complementary feed is to stabilise conditions in the large intestine resulting in the stimulation of natural fermentative activity, it should, in particular, be added to the feed of horses during periods of stress, post antibiotic or anthelmintic treatment, prior to travel and competition, during weaning and when changing feeding regimes.

Sulphur Cream Plus is a soothing, moisturising, skin conditioning emulsion containing Methyl Sulphonyl Methane, Zinc Oxide and essential oils. Sulphur Cream Plus can be applied on cracked heels, cuts and sores, sweet itch and sore irritated skin.

As it contains a source of Organic Sulphur, MSM, which provides elasticity and healing repair to skin tissue, Sulphur Cream Plus is suitable for use for skin regeneration, for example to smooth out scars.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER USE

Clean affected area with water and an anti-bacterial wash. Dry with a clean towel / garment. Apply Sulphur Cream Plus over affected area until completely covered.

Apply twice daily or as required. Store in a cool dry place and for external use only.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Add contents of sachet or 50g to 5 litres of water to achieve a 1:100 (1%) solution. Apply using spray equipment at 300ml per square metre.

Allow for a contact time of 10 minutes. Up to 30 minutes may be required when facing low temperatures, soiling, or for applications requiring DEFRA approved dilutions.
