Welcome to the 4 th edition of the Mistresses and Consorts Picture Book In the 2 years since I first sent a tentative email to Piers Nicholson suggesting that there should be a Picture Book for Mistresses and Consorts (to match the one established in 2012 for the Masters) we have grown from a book with more blanks than pictures to what you see here today – the useful Picture Book, full and up to date. Following a suggestion from our sponsor, Mark Grove, we organised a party for all the Mistresses and Consorts to meet the new Lady Mayoress on the same day that the Masters and Clerks were gathered in the Mansion House to the addressed by the Lord Mayor. This very successful event, was followed by our second event, a pre-Ironbridge supper at the Guildhall, in late May. Mistresses and Consorts are playing an increasing part in the Livery Movement, so I am delighted that the “small acorn” I planted two years ago has now grown into a “mighty oak”. I would like to thank all those who have made it possible, our sponsor Mark Groves of the Cook and the Butler Ltd, Piers Nicholson, our Webmaster, all the members of the hard-working Steering Committee, and, not least, all the Mistresses and Consorts who have provided the pictures and have told their successors how useful the Picture Book has been to them. With good wishes from Lady Ribeiro (Mistress Barber 2013-4) Steering Committee member www.liverycompanies.net

Welcome to the 4th edition of the Mistresses and Consorts Picture Book

In the 2 years since I first sent a tentative email to Piers Nicholson suggesting thatthere should be a Picture Book for Mistresses and Consorts (to match the one establishedin 2012 for the Masters) we have grown from a book with more blanks than pictures towhat you see here today – the useful Picture Book, full and up to date.

Following a suggestion from our sponsor, Mark Grove, we organised a party for all theMistresses and Consorts to meet the new Lady Mayoress on the same day that theMasters and Clerks were gathered in the Mansion House to the addressed by the LordMayor.

This very successful event, was followed by our second event, a pre-Ironbridge supperat the Guildhall, in late May.

Mistresses and Consorts are playing an increasing part in the Livery Movement, so Iam delighted that the “small acorn” I planted two years ago has now grown into a“mighty oak”.

I would like to thank all those who have made it possible, our sponsor Mark Groves ofthe Cook and the Butler Ltd, Piers Nicholson, our Webmaster, all the members of thehard-working Steering Committee, and, not least, all the Mistresses and Consorts whohave provided the pictures and have told their successors how useful the Picture Bookhas been to them.

With good wishes from

Mind the Gap !Please let your successor know in good time about the liverycompanies.net website and this Picture

Book, and explain how useful it is to everybody to have this collection of pictures.

And please ask them to send their picture a week or two before their installation so that we do nothave to put the “Picture Awaited” sign up for your company.
