Welcome to Panem

District 1 – Atomic Theory• They know that they are fundamental to

existence of all other districts• They are also well advised by the famed

champions Bohr, Rutherford, and Thomson• Don’t let them get out of your sight for too

long or you may fall pray to some stray electrons.

District 2 – Periodic Table and Trends

• Where would the other districts be without their Periodic Table.

• Advised by the crazed Mendeleev• District 2 knows this and will likely use this to

their advantage

District 3 – Chemical Bonding• The elements have got nothing on these guys• Advised by past champion Gilbert Lewis• Beware of their ability to mix elements

together to make a nasty compound that will do terrible damage to you.

District 4 – Stoichiometry and Solutions

• No word strikes fear into the hearts of the other districts like the word stoichiometry

• The Career tributes if there ever was one• Only the truly great can take this District down

District 5 – Stoichiometry and Solutions

• Since the Capital loves them so much, they have been given two districts

• Beware of District 5, they like to pair up with District 4 to pick off weaker Districts

District 6 - Gases• With advisors like Boyle, Gay-Lussac, and

Charles, this District is likely to go far in these Games.

• The ability to crush a human being without touching them is one of their famous kill moves.

District 7 – Acids and Bases• Don’t turn your back on this district for too

long or else they just might kill you and get rid of your body without leaving any evidence behind

• Advised by past champions Arrhenius and Bronsted-Lowry

District 8 - Thermochemistry

• They’ll kill you and be able to tell you how many calories it took once they are finished

District 9 – Kinetics and Equilibrium

• They are ruthless and they kill fast (it helps when you have a catalyst in your back pocket)

• Advised by past champion Le Chatlier

District 10 – Nuclear Chemistry• This district is not to be messed with and they

know it.• Advised by past champion Albert Einstein• They possess the power to create an atomic

bomb…so you better be careful if you are to do battle with them

District 11 – Biochemistry• District 11 posses a power far superior to the

other Districts: The power to make life.• While they are astonishingly great at making

life, you can bet that they will be equally as well at taking away life.

District 12• Your name has been drawn at the reaping and

you must now do battle with the other districts

• All 12 of you will enter, but only one will emerge victorious

Training

• If you are going to beat these ruthless districts, then you are going to need some epic training.

Training Regimen• You will need to learn the weaknesses of these

districts if you are to take them down• There will be 11 training stations that will walk you

through what you will need to know in order to kill these Districts

• Once you feel you have mastered the training, you may enter the arena to do battle

• Should you fail, you will need toreturn to training before you arebetter prepared.

Tracking Your Kills• You will be able to track your progress during

the Games on the back wall and online.• Everytime you kill a District you will be able to

mark your kill on the tracker and online.

Your Handicap• Since the Capitol is a merciful place, they

wished to level the playing field so that all tributes are competing on an equal level.

• Based on your current level of proficiency, you will be given a certain number of “starter” points. The lower your current proficiency, the more points you get to start with.

District Pacing• You must complete all 11 Districts before the

final.• If you do not complete the districts at the

pace allotted, you will be required to stay after school in order to catch up.

• In order to avoid staying after, be sure to come in for tutoring!
