The Mobi package consists of four essential components. There is the tablet itself and the pen which can be attached to the tablet with an included lanyard. The USB receiver will plug into a computer and allow the tablet to communicate wirelessly with the computer. Finally, there a USB cable for connecting the Mobi tablet to a computer.

The USB cable will allow the Mobi tablet to interact with the computer, but its primary purpose is to charge the Mobi. Keep in mind that the Mobi needs at least 12 hours for its initial charge.

The small, trapezoidal plug on the USB cable plugs into the Mobi tablet. The shape of the mini USB plug ensures that it only goes in one way. The rectangle end plugs into a USB port on your computer. Keep in mind that your computer does need to be on in order for the tablet to charge.

The Mobi tablet’s pen is an active pen. This means that it also needs to be charged to operate. Be sure the pen is inserted all the way or it will not charge with the tablet. The tablet and pen need to charge for 12 hours before their first use.

The USB receiver attaches to a computer and provides the wireless communication between the computer and the tablet. The Mobi tablet is an RF device, which means that the tablet and receiver can communicate even if they cannot see each other.

First, plug the receiver into the tablet. Give Windows a minute to find the receiver and, if necessary, load the software it needs to talk to Windows. This software is already in Windows and will load automatically. When plugged in the clear button on the receiver will give off a steady blue light. Press the button on the receiver and it will begin to blink.
