Eat So They Can: The Vision- Global dinner party- Everyone can make a difference- Fundraising should be fun, inspiring and
educational- A world without hunger- Provide grants for immediate needs and
sustainability projects
What is it all about?
ESTC is a global dinner party which takes place on the weekend of October 19-20th to raise money for vulnerable women and children around the world.
What is Eat So They Can?
ESTC is GVN Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser and is in its sixth year.
GVN Foundation is a non-profit organization with UN consultative status.
Eat So Who Can?The funds raised through Eat So They Can are used to support 3 main causes:
- Feeding Projects
- Sustainability Projects
- Greatest Need
Feeding Projects
Funds raised for this cause will be used towards projects which support children’s immediate nutritional needs.
Nutrition for ChangeSacred Valley, PeruPROJECT:
Our partner’s Nutrition for Change program provides a daily lunch to 400 school children.
Sustainability Projects
Funds raised for this cause will be used to provide grants that will assist our projects in becoming more sustainable. The types of projects supported through this cause include animal projects and income-generating projects.
PROJECT:
Women are given training then gifted cows as a means of income generation and family nutrition and wellbeing. 7 cows have been distributed in the last 2 years and first born calves are donated to another group member

Greatest Need
Funds raised for this cause will go where they are needed most. These funds will also allow GVN Foundation to respond
immediately to any emergencies in the future.
PROJECT: Porridge ProgramNakuru, Kenya
In Kenya, we are funding a porridge program which provides a daily cup of porridge to 157 children who are living in camps for Internally Displaced People.
Your Commitment
Events• Form an ESTC committee in your region,
minimum four members. Lead your committee in organizing…
• At least two Eat So They Can advocacy events
• At least two Eat So They Can fundraising events
Your Commitment
• Outreach: Conduct targeted outreach to interested groups in your region and get at least one article published about Eat So They Can in your local media.
• Communications: Write a minimum of one blog post for our blog and post at least once each month on our Facebook page.
• Training: Participate in a minimum of three online intern training sessions (one per month for length of internship)
• Webinars- one hour training session each month for the six months
