Meet Mrs. Doelling
• Graduated from Saint Vincent College in May 1992 – bachelor’s degree in psychology

College in December 2000• Received the 2001 Student Educator Award for
Outstanding Achievement in Academic and Professional Studies Leading to Certification in Elementary Education
• Certified to teach Elementary (K-6)
Meet Mrs. Doelling
• This is my 12th year of teaching at Mountain View Elementary (11th in second grade)
• Prior to my current position, I taught fifth grade for one year at Mountain View. I was also a permanent substitute teacher in kindergarten and fourth grade at GLSD.

Homework Binder
Please check your child’s homework binder nightly!
Current spelling words are kept in the blue sleeve. Words are tested on Fridays.
Current math fact lists are kept in the yellow sleeve. Timed tests are given on Wednesdays.
Storytown
READING*robust vocabulary discussed orally in class*weekly story should be read at home once it has been shared in class*comprehension tests are given on Fridays—students read the tests independently
Students should read for at least 10 minutes nightly!
SPELLING*new lists given on Mondays*tests given on Fridays*challenge words are graded
WRITING/GRAMMAR*weekly writing and grammar activities correspond with what is being studied in Storytown*students also take some assignments through the writing process
