Welcome and thank you for taking the time to read the very first edition of our newsletter. Ripon Farm Services now covers an area of Eastern England from Lincolnshire, across the whole of Yorkshire right up to Northumber-land. This newsletter will now be released each month and it will include everything that’s going on with the company, our latest special offers and provide a platform to introduce some of the people that help keep us going. Now is the time to contact your Area Sales Managers about our John Deere ex-demonstrators. Many of our planned demonstrations are now completed so we are opening up this seasons demonstration fleet for sale. The demonstrators have very low hours, are well spec’d and are very well priced but still come with a full warranty and full finance options available. Below are examples of three demonstrators we have been running, we have many more on the fleet so please get in touch now to find out more.

Brand Spotlight - KuhnKuhn have been in business since 1828 and today their 4,540 employees provide agricultural machinery to Farmers throughout the world. Kuhn have been a partner with Ripon Farm Services for many years, however for our 5 newest branches Kuhn is now available for the first time. Therefore we thought we would re-introduce the brand and what solutions Kuhn offer which are available at Ripon Farm Services.

Kuhn’s product range is vast and covers equipment from 2-12 body ploughs, soil preperation, seed drilling, fertiliser spreaders, hedgers and more than 33 models of hay-making equipment. Kuhn products are also very highly thought of often coming top in any group test reviews or any comparisons on farm.

In terms of aftersales support, Kuhn are right up there with the best. They have multiple factories around the world that provide parts into a UK site in Telford. Because Ripon Farm Services have been Kuhn dealers for years, the chances are if you need a part we probably have it in stock already. For service and training support, our staff thoughout all our branches have been trained on Kuhn products and we have a tight partnership with the UK Kuhn service team ensuring the aftersales support for the product is excellent.

New ProductKuhn Espro - Min Till DrillThe benefits of a min till drill are well documented and many farms are turning to this seeding solution. Kuhn’s Espro range of drills have been developed from the ground up to provide great output from very low power requirements. This low power requirement comes mainly from the specific design of its press wheels in front of the coulter bar. These wheels keep soil accumulation in front of the packer to a minimum reducing power requirements and saving fuel.

The drill is designed to till, tamp and seed in one pass which it will do on ploughed land, min-tilled land or even direct seeding.

This drill has proved very popular with customers so if you would like to find out more, arrange a demo or talk about any other Kuhn product, please contact your local Area Sales Manager who will be able to help.

Customer care and support is paramount to Ripon Farm Services. As the type of care and support needed is evolving, we have invested in a new dedicated department to help offer the extended care and support needed with modern machinery.

Our new Farmsight team will be responsible for a number of key operations in our dealership which have traditionally fallen between the other departments. These include:

• Precision Ag• Customer training• Optimisation and set-up support• Documentation and MyJohnDeere support

Precision Ag is very important in modern farming op-erations whether it be for efficiency, ease or even for legislative reasons but, unfortunately, it can also seem daunting or complicated. Our Precision Ag team form part of our new Farmsight department and they are full time employees dedicated to providing the very best Precision Ag products, training, support, repairs and personalised solutions to all our customers.

When we ask our customers what we, as a dealership, need to do more of, the response more often than not is “training and optimisation/ set-up support”. To provide this we have moved our demonstration and optimisation staff into the Farmsight department. This enables them to respond quickly to new tractor deliveries providing initial optimisation training and we can plan future customer training events much easier. Operator training should only ever be one call away and with our new Farmsight department, this is our goal.

During the Winter we will be looking to host customer training events at multiple branches. This training will go through everything a new operator needs to know as well as providing a great refresher for existing operators. To register your interest please get in touch.

Finally, the department will be responsible for ensuring all customers have a MyJohnDeere.com account set-up and have training on how to use it. Through the MyJohnDeere.com website you are able to access machine data and maps. This is also the place to sign up to programs such as Fuel Guarantee or Expert Alerts.

Our Branches - Louth

Louth is located on the Eastern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds and is home to one of our 5 new branches after the RBM Agricultural aquisition. Our Louth branch is found on the large industrial estate just north of the town itself and was purpose built by RBM in 2009. Since opening its doors, the branch has worked hard to provide the highest levels of service to customers based throughout east Lincolnshire.

We have three Area Sales Managers, two dedicated Parts employees, seven in the service department and a branch administrator. Within this team is the experience and expertise to manage the machinery needs of the areas customers and we would like to take this opportunity to introduce some of them.
