Welcome to our

assembly.

If I were a butterfly, I’d thank you Lord for giving me

wings

If I were a robin in a tree, I’d thank you Lord that I

could sing

If I were a fish in the sea, I’d wiggle my tail and I’d

giggle with glee

But I just thank you Father for making me, me

Chorus:

For you gave me a heart and you gave me a smile

You gave me Jesus and you made me your child

And I just thank you Father for making me, me

If I were a butterfly….

If I were an elephant, I’d thank you Lord by raising my

trunk

If I were a kangaroo, You know I’d hop right up to you

If I were an octopus, I’d thank you Lord for my fine looks

But I just thank you Father for making me, me

Chorus:

For you gave me a heart and you gave me a smile

You gave me Jesus and you made me your child

And I just thank you Father for making me, me

If I were a wiggly worm, I’d thank you Lord that I could

squirm

If I were a fuzzy wuzzy bear, I’d thank you Lord for my

fuzzy wuzzy hair

If I were a crocodile, I’d thank you Lord for my great

smile

But I just thank you Father for making me, me

Chorus:

For you gave me a heart and you gave me a smile

You gave me Jesus and you made me your child

And I just thank you Father for making me, me

The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

By Eric Carle

In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf.

One Sunday morning the warm sun came up and pop! Out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar.

He started to look for some food.

On Tuesday he ate through two pears, but he was still hungry.

On Wednesday he ate through three plums, but he was still hungry.

On Saturday he ate through……… then he had the

tummy ache!!!!!

The next day was Sunday again. The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf, and after that he felt much better.

Now he wasn’t hungry anymore- and he wasn’t a little

caterpillar any more.

He was a big, fat caterpillar.

He built a small house, called a cocoon, around himself. He stayed inside for more than two weeks.

Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out ………

He was a beautiful butterfly!

9 little caterpillars
