How can you support your child?

• Check my website for assignments, information, science links, quizzes……

• Encourage them to review material-they all have science books at home, notes from daily lessons, lots of vocabulary, including Latin and Greek Root words.

• Check their grades on power school….that is how we let you know if they did their homework, how they did on their tests…..

Advisory “Grade”• It is an “effort” grade.• Planner should be completed

and signed by a parent. • It is checked every

Monday….10 points, 8 points, 6……..

• Please don’t pre-sign the planner

• Don’t assume we see any “notes” to us. Email is the BEST way to contact us.

• An “F” in advisory will keep your child out of the monthly activity.

• Detention

More support suggestions:

• Don’t allow your child to be “strategically absent” for tests, projects, etc.

• “Due dates” for major projects are “firm.” Electronic issues are not excuses for not turning things in on time. Have your child get projects done early……(good luck with this…..)

• Don’t “rescue”, we are trying to encourage responsibility and accountability.
