Here you can communicate with patients, community health workers, and community members to schedule trainings, ask and respond to questions, and provide additional information — just like regular SMS. You can also send bulk messages to groups of people.

This is a list of all your INCOMING messages with the most recent one on top. The light blue highlight indicates which message is being displayed on the right.

If the text is bold, it is a new message that has not been read by you, but may have been seen by another log-in user. All users see the same messages.

This pane shows the messages exchanged with the phone number of the message selected on the left. Messages may be sent by you, another log-in user, or automatically by Medic Mobile all are shown here.

If the person you are communicating with is in your Contacts list, their name and phone number are listed here, and their facility information is on the right. If they are not in your contacts book, only the phone number you sent or received a message from will be displayed.

Here is where you reply to or send a new message. The message will be sent as a text message, or across multiple text messages, using the credit on your gateway SIM card.

To send a new message to someone not already in your list, select the + icon and “Send Message”

Enter the mobile number of the person you wish to send a message to, or start typing their name to search your contacts list. Any message you send here will be viewable by other log-in users.

All of the reports submitted by community health workers live here. Depending on how you are using Medic Mobile in your community, these reports may be for pregnancy registrations, completed visits, or other forms supported by Medic Mobile.

These green circles mean the report is valid and has met all of its validation rules. If the circle is red, the report is invalid and has failed a validation rule, such as an incomplete data field or does not match to a facility in your contacts book. The checkbox in the circle means the report has been “verified” as correct by a log-in user.

You can filter your reports from the drop-down options. Here, you can choose to view only reports submitted from a specific form. To select multiple forms, click the checkbox next to the forms. Only reports for those forms will be listed below. To deselect, click the checkbox again.
