Life-Change Resource Rethinking Retirement:

Finishing Life for the Glory of Christ by John Piper

John Piper writes, “I am sixty-two years old—just about the oldest baby boomer. Behind me come 78 million boomers, ages forty-three to sixty-one. Over 10,000 turn sixty every day . . . What will it mean to get old for the glory of Christ as a baby boomer in America? It will mean a radical break with

the mindset of our unbelieving peers. Especially a break with the typical dream of retirement.

Millions of Christian men and women are finishing their formal careers in their fifties and sixties, and for most of them, there will be a good twenty years before their physical and mental powers fail. What will it mean to live those final years for the glory of Christ? How will we live them in such a way as to show that Christ is our highest Treasure?”

Grace Bible Church * Singing * Testimonies

Dear McCoy Family,

"We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father." I Thessalonians 1 : 2 & 3

As we are filled with grief over the earthy loss of our son Timothy, we are also filled with thanksgiving for the love that has been shown to our family by our friends at McCoy. We cannot thank you enough for your cards, visits, food preparation, physical labor, words of comfort, and prayers. We are remembering you in our prayers, praying that you will be blessed as you have blessed our family. We are walking through a dark valley, but, we know we are not alone. The Lord Jesus is walking this journey with us, and we know that many of you have chosen to be part of this journey, too. We also know that we will see Timothy again! John11:25 "Jesus said to her,' I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."

" Hope is not found in understanding; hope is found in a person-Jesus Christ."

In Christian love, The Terry Bogue Family
