A Brief History of Keysight
1939–1998: Hewlett-Packard yearsA company founded on electronic measurement innovation
1999–2013: Agilent Technologies years
Spun off from HP, Agilent became the World’s Premier
Measurement Company. In September 2013, it
announced the spinoff of its electronic measurement
business
2014: Keysight begins operations
November 1, Keysight is an independent
company focused 100% on the electronic
measurement industry
We believe in “Firsts”Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard’s original vision launched
Silicon Valley and shaped our passion for “firsts” 75 years
ago. Today we are committed to provide a new generation
of “firsts” – software-oriented solutions – that create value
for our investors and valued insights for our customers.

Testing Infotainment system playback audio quality w/ U8903B
BT RF Signal
Testing the playback audio quality
from DUT earphone jack. Audio path:
from BT RF interface to the earphone
output.
1. Connect the DUT with A2DP Profile,
open media connection.
2. U8903B simulates a mobile phone
and generate the BT RF test
signal.
3. From the infotainment earphone
jack or line-out , the analog audio
signal is sent back to U8903B
analog input for analysis.
4. U8903B analog analyzer implement
the analog audio measurement in
analog domain: Analog audio: 1 or 2
channels simultaneously.
5. THD, THD+N and SINAD:
6. Frequency, Level and Frequency
response from 20Hz to 20kHz.
7. Crosstalk, Phase for stereo signals
8. Inter-modulation test: SMPTE IMD,

BT RF Signal
Testing the Phone call audio quality at
infotainment speaker/Microphone. Audio
path: from/to U8903B BT RF interface to/from
the infotainment speaker/microphone.
1. Setup HFP connection between U8903B and
infotainment.
2. U8903B simulates a mobile phone. U8903B
generate BT RF test signal (downlink) and
analog audio signal (Uplink).
3. The acoustic test kit with imbedded artificial
ear and artificial mouth to receive/transmit
the acoustic audio signal and convert to
analog audio signal and send to U8903B for
analysis.
4. U8903B analog analyzer implement audio
measurement in analog domain (Downlink)
and BT RF domain (uplink).
5. THD, THD+N, Frequency, Level and
Frequency response from 20Hz to 20kHz.
6. Crosstalk, Phase for stereo signals
