Welcome to JetBlue. We know the first few days of any job are exciting—and they can be a little overwhelming too. You’ll hear a lot about the great benefits you have here at JetBlue. One of the most important things we want you to remember is that BlueCarpet is here for YOU—whether you’re trying to decide between the Green or Blue Medical Plan, connect with a nurse about your health condition or adjust a doctor’s bill. All this, and more, is provided for you for FREE by BlueCarpet. The good news is that, unlike some of your other benefits that you will need to select within your first 30 days at JetBlue, you don’t need to enroll in BlueCarpet and you don’t have to fill out any paperwork. BlueCarpet will be here whenever you need it.

You can track your Healthy Rewards—what you have earned and how you have earned it—by logging in to Health Advantage Suite to view your Health Account. For example, your Health Account may indicate that the $200 in Healthy Rewards you see was earned by completing your annual physical.

Use one card for all your accounts.Have more than one Health Account? Optum will give you a single payment card and website, so you can manage your accounts with ease. Use your card to pay right at the doctor’s office, or wait until you receive a bill from your provider. You can then pay online, or pay out of pocket and submit for a refund. You will be able to view your UnitedHealthcare or Anthem medical claims online via the Health Advantage Suite, so you can decide how and when to pay.

Your Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and/or Health Savings Account (HSA) will be administered by Optum. This means you will enjoy the Health Advantage Suite, which brings you an integrated website and mobile experience to manage your Healthy Rewards and Health Accounts.

What is the BlueCarpet Special Needs Navigator Program?The Special Needs Navigator Program is a free program, helping guide families of children diagnosed with behavioral and developmental needs through the medical, social service and educational systems with the support of a licensed mental health clinician.

Why is JetBlue offering this program?Crewmembers have requested this type of support, and JetBlue wanted to develop a thoughtful assistance program, consistent with JetBlue’s Caring Value. JetBlue offers the program as a free service to Crewmembers to help ensure their child’s care plan includes the right mix of support from the JetBlue Medical benefits and community, state, federal and educational resources.

What credentials does the Navigator possess?The Navigator is a licensed mental health clinician with a Master’s degree(s) in such fields as Counseling, Health Administration and Social Work.

How is this program different from the services available through JetBlue?The Navigator is a dedicated resource who is a licensed mental health clinician specializing in children’s care needs. The Navigator not only will serve as a guide for the available community/state/federal resources but also is trained and able to help Crewmembers and their families understand the related resources available through JetBlue’s Benefits, including answering questions about in-network pre-certified Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy coverage.

Considering spinal surgery? Make sure you get all the information—and expert assessment—before you make a decision. If you’ve had an abnormal MRI, tried conservative treatment such as physical therapy or injections without improvement, or been told by your current physician that you might be a candidate for surgery, we’ll help you take the next step by connecting you with a Blue Surgical Center of Excellence (COE).

JetBlue’s Blue Surgical COE is a network of hospitals that deliver a higher standard of quality care for Crewmembers and dependents requiring spinal surgery. COE hospitals use specialized surgeons and clinicians to develop personalized treatment plans—a more patient-focused approach for improved outcomes. When you work with a COE, you’ll experience concierge-level support including comprehensive, in-person support from your initial call to your spine evaluation to your transition home.

If you’re enrolled in a Medical Plan through JetBlue and qualify for this program, Health Design Plus will help you schedule travel to a COE hospital and pay for the medical services at 100% while at the COE. There’s no deductible or coinsurance if you’re in the Green Plan. If you are in the Blue Plan, you have to meet your deductible before the surgery can be covered 100%. (It’s an IRS rule.)
