6th Form Independent Learning
Academy’s drive to improve attainment & encourage independent learning
Additional designated timetabled 5th lesson for Independent Learning for each subject.
This lesson for independent learning is distinct from the Independent Study Period / Private Study still on 6th form timetables.
Teachers will set 2 sections of work:
1. Homework which is collected in and marked accordingly
2. Weekly Independent Learning. tasks for the ‘5th Period’ which is checked and verified by the teacher but not necessarily marked
Private Study Lessons Choose to work in either the 6th Form study
area or Library.
It is in this lesson that students should complete their Homework (draft, correct & redraft)
