What are the requirements to exit “Pre-Business” and earn BBA status?

1. Earn 45 semester hours2. Earn a grade of “C” or

better in ACCT 2101 “Financial Accounting”

3. GSU GPA of 2.5 or higher

BBA status is required before you begin taking most business courses

What if I decide I don’t want to be a business major?

• Come by our office in room 1100 of COBA to obtain paperwork to change your major

• Don’t wait! Complete the paperwork as soon as you decide to change your major

can help you identify majors and careers that fit your interests and strengths

Different Types of Courses and Requirements

• Hybrid- Class has a lecture and online or lab component – Example- Math 1111

• Online- Class typically does not meet on campus, or a limited number of times– OL

• Jumpstart- Class meets for only a portion of the semester – Example- several KINS (PE) classes – Check start and end dates when sign up for classes

• Pre-requisite-as a course that is required prior to taking an advanced course– Example- College Algebra (Math 1111) is a prerequisite for Survey of

Calculus (Math 1232)• Co-requisite- an academic course required to be taken in conjunction with

another course– Example- many science courses require a lab component to be taken with

the lecture
