your talents and abilities. It should also help you

Promoting Junior School Values
At Frogmore, we promote fundamental universal values through our ethos, the curriculum, spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, and through our work as a UNICEF Rights Respecting School.
We reinforce and promote universal values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

Our Vision:
Our school seeks to provide world-class education by learning from best practice in the UK and overseas. Through this we want all our pupils to thrive during their time here and be prepared for their next steps in life. We want all young people to be inspired by an excellent education that raises their aspirations and enriches their lives.

Special Educational Needs
“All teachers are teachers of students with ‘Special Educational Needs’. It is the class teacher’s responsibility to plan and deliver lessons that
include and are accessible to all students.”
If your child has special educational needs, any additional information will havebeen transferred over from their infant school and their new class teacher &LSA will be made aware. It is then the class teacher & LSA’s responsibility toadapt lessons to suit their needs.
Mrs Lisa King, the school’s SENDco, completes regular checks on childrenwith special educational needs and tracks their progress carefully. Anyadditional interventions will be put in place when and where necessary.
If you have any concerns about your child’s SEN, please do not hesitate to make an appointment with Mrs King via the school office.
The School DayThe doors open at 8:30am and registration is at 8.45am.
We have Guided Reading, English and Maths every morning.
We have one break in the morning and then lunch at 12pm.
The afternoons are when children learn the foundation subjects, including: PE, RE, PSHE, Geography, History, Art, Science, IT and Design Technology.
School finishes at 3.15pm. At the end of the school day, Year 3
children will leave through their classroom’s designated door. (Elm by main entrance & Oak on the field next to the PE container)
Please wait outside this door to pick up your child when the gate
has been opened.
Year 3
Oak Class Elm Class

year 4 and the library.
Each half term, there will be a different topic that most of
the work is based around.
Year 3’s first topic will be based around ‘Asia’.
Your stunning start will be ’A taste of Asia’ workshops:
learning and painting Japanese numbers, making origami,
practicing Tai-Chi and food tasting.
Break Times
Children are encouraged to bring in a healthy snack
to eat at mid morning.
Lunches
Children can either bring in their own packed lunch or have a school dinner for £2.50.

Going for Gold!
GOLD!When children work hard, make good choices, do their best or help
others they can move up the ‘Going for Gold’ chart. When they get
to Gold they will get a certificate from Miss Richardson and it will
be shared in Celebration Assembly.
However, a verbal reminder will be given if a wrong choice is made.
Yellow: If a child makes another wrong choice their name will be
moved to a warning.
Amber: If they continue to make wrong choices, they will be moved
to Amber, where they may have to miss some of their break time or
be moved to another class to reflect on the choices they have made.
Red: This is for more serious behaviour that is not appropriate. This
can be hurting another child on purpose or using inappropriate words.
A child can also go onto red if they continue making the wrong
choice. Behaviour will be formally recorded. Miss Richardson and
parents will be informed.
