To see your customer list, select ‘Search’ from the Customers drop down menu (1) or click the Customers icon on the HOME screen (2).The customer list will be shown (3). If the list is long it may be necessary to use the scroll buttons (4), sometimes called VCR buttons, at the bottom to view the full list.A word on Flyouts: Resting the computer cursor on an item, button, tab, etc. will of-ten reveal a flyout (5) for a few seconds. On smaller screens such as tablets, this can help read items without zooming in on the item

Long lists can be filtered down rapidly when searching for a particular customer.In the example above, the first 2 letters were typed in the name field (1) at which point…the list was filtered down to the three customers shown (2). Typing just two more characters (3) filtered the list to just one customer (4). For long lists of dozens or even hundreds of entries this can quickly shorten the list Use any field (5) to quickly and easily shorten the list to pick from. Use multiple fields if necessary to pare down lists even more. To do a new search, clear the field by clicking the eraser icon (6) and then start a new search in any of the fields, typing the first characters of the desired customer field.

The customer list can be sorted by any field by clicking the field header. Here the ‘City’ header (5) was clicked once for an ascending order sort (5a) and twice (6) for a descending order sort (6a). Note the change in direction of the arrow by ‘City’ as well as the sequence that items appear in the list

To create another customer very similar to one already in your list, select the cus-tomer and then click the Copy button (1) and then modify the new customer as de-sired (example: different address).To delete a customer from your list, select the cus-tomer and then click the delete button (2). You will be prompted to confirm deletion:In this example, the customer cannot be deleted be-cause the customer is active (there is a quote for that customer).

A Couple Notes on Customers:• Ship to location needs to be the same for the customer and the customer’s

quote. If the salesperson changes the location on a quote, the customer will not show up in the customer list unless a new customer has been created with that new address

• Customers are associated to only one dealer location. If the dealer location is changed, it will be necessary to create that customer for that dealer location or it will NOT show up in the customer search screen If the change is made in the customer screen, any previously made quotes will show a message to fix the customer information.

Rather than reentering header information for an OCS, the original order can be used to create an OCS:

(1) Log in and open the Quotes tab and find the submitted quote the OCS is to be generated for

(2) Copy the quote (see Copying Quotes).(3) On the quote information tab, change the order type to OCS (1).(4) Fill in the original job number.(5) Remove all lines items not needed for the OCS ( see Deleting Line Items) or

click the “Remove All” button (THIS WILL REMOVE ALL LINE ITEMS).(6) If using the Remove All button, click “Yes” to confirm in the dialogue box.

Verify header information and enter all items needed for OCS (see Adding Items).

Keyline is selected (1). As information is completed, Work Bench will prompt for more information dependent on the previous entry or entries (2). Items indicated with () are required fields that must be completed to proceed. Note: As informa-tion is completed it is recorded in the area at the right (3).

A note on radio buttons and check boxes:Radio buttons () typically appear in a set (more than one). Only one may be selected () from the set and selection of one will deselect any previous selection within the set. For example above, if Keyline Inset was selected (), the Keyline selection would change to ().Check boxes may appear singly, or in multiples, and may be selected () and deselected () without changing the selection of any other check boxes.

After door construction type is selected (1), and then the Door Name Upper box (2) is clicked, a drop down menu shows the available styles with that construction type (3). In this case, the list is scrollable (4) and includes a Special Request Door* (5, top of list). In this example, Regent is selected (6). The selection prompts more informa-tion (see next screen).***Special product will be addressed later.**A succession of steps that derive or act upon the preceding step is often referred to or called a Cascade

The lower door style is filled in automatically when there is no upper / lower combi-nation available as standard (1). If Regent Roman had been selected for upper style the default lower door style would have been Regent Roman as well but the option of changing to Regent (square) would have been available (2).Additional information for door styles needs to be completed (3): This door style has alternate outside profiles; select if desired or leave the

Continue to fill in the header information as it appears in the same manner that the information has been filled in so far (1). The screen will automatically scroll (cas-cade) down (2) as necessary to continue to reveal added fields.Information continues to fill in on the right side as it is completed (3). If you should recognize that you made an entry error, or you decide to make a change, scroll up on the left side of the screen and make any changes and then redo any selections below as indicated by the program. Or…click the Cancel button at the top of the screen (4) and restart with the Header button if you wish.NOTE: If you Cancel (4) or X-out (5), nothing will be saved.

The information at right is interactive in that you can click on an item there and the program will take you to that part of the configuration. For example, Continuous Wood Bottom was selected initially. Clicking on it here (2) will take you to that part of the header configuration if you want to change it.Note that this feature also works at the line item level (an alternative to scrolling thru long configurations).

Attaching items at the header level are often necessary or at least recommended. These can include items like floor plans, elevations, etc. Click the Attachments but-ton (1) to initiate a Header Attachment.

Click New button (1) to reveal Header and Line Attachments dialogue box (2). En-ter a description (3). Click the folder icon (4) at the right side of the File text box to search for the file. In this case, the file named ‘sample order.PDF’ is an elevation for the order (shown later in this tutorial). Finally, click the Save button (5). The attach-ment is shown (6) before closing the Attachments dialogue box.NOTE: All attachments need to be PDF files. Most applications give the option of sav-ing as a PDF NOTE: IF this were a line item attachment, the line item number would be displayed here (7).

#1 WBC:The first few letters (1) of the selection have been entered at which point a list of the cabinet sizes appears. 18” wide & 521/2” high is needed. Select 54” high (2), the next tallest 18” wide, since 521/2” high is not a standard offering.Click Configure button (3).NOTE: When selecting miscellaneous items, the button that normally would say ‘Configure’ might just be ‘Add’ if there are no required configurations. The Import button (1) at the top of the screen allows the use of a configured item exported to a file (previous screen), potentially at a different location by a different person. That file may have been emailed from one person / location to another or shared in some other manner. option isn’t available in the original product line. Maybe, after completion of the order a cost comparison against one or more

of the other product lines is desired Maybe, there is a need to change header selections other than the product

line Changing the product (and / or other header selections) can be done on the original order with attention to the configuration of the rest of the products on the order. See the information on Validate All An order can also be copied for the sake of changing items in the header for price comparison. Changes to door style, drawer box type, finish, product line, etc. can change final list price which may affect customer’s product choice.

After changing Header selections it’s important to ensure all header and line items are configured properly. Header configurations are addressed as reentry of header items is done top down. For line item configurations, click Validate All button (1).Because the entire quote is being reconfigured for the new header information, depending on quote size and amount of header changes, this could take a few sec-onds. This animated icon (2) appears by each line item until that item is validated. Scroll thru the quote to ensure all items have been validated (no ).

Computer / Hardware Requirements: Very minimal: Hi speed Internet access with a computer running Windows 7 or greater (OSX or greater for Mac), with a dual core processor and at least 4 GB of RAM. Work Bench will run in Windows, Mac, Linux or Android environments Browsers: While the program should work with most browsers, keep in mind that the browsers we test Work Bench with are: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome NOTE: Being a web based program, the use of cookies and temporary Internet files are used with-in Crystal Work Bench program. They assist with remembering your prior activity and improving performance. On rare occasions, Work Bench updates may require deleting existing cookies and temporary Internet files. Some users may choose to not mass delete their cookies and temporary Internet files used by other web based programs. In those situations, it is recommended you use a different Internet browser specifically for Work Bench. As an example, if you currently use Internet Explorer for your other work and you are concerned with losing your web searching activity and history, you could use Google Chrome for Crystal Work Bench. Smart Phones and Tablets: Work Bench will work on most popular phones and tab-lets but the operation will not be optimal and use of these devices is recommended for access / reference more than creating original quotes and orders.

TIP: On a dual monitor computer, run Work Bench on one screen and Cata-log Kiosk (Crystal’s PDF version catalogs) or your design program on the oth-er screen

Crystal Work Bench is a standalone web application. It does not make use of adware or pop ups. Your Internet speed and settings may affect your experience. In addition, it’s good practice to maintain your anti-virus program and adware blocker and maintain your computer on a regular basis

After the initial set-up, the password for access to eWorks and for Work Bench will be the same as the password for Work Bench Desk Top Short Cut: Create a bookmark (short cut) on your computer (1) for quick access and in turn use that to access eWorks through the icon for eWorks (2). Most browsers will do this just by typing Control D (Command D for Mac) while in the web site; otherwise look for something like “Add to favorites’ under one of the browser menus The shortcut created for Work Bench will open the log in screen

Tips & Tricks: Lap top users: Closing a lap top computer prior to completing (clicking Com-

plete button) the entry of a header or item will lose the new header or line item. All required fields must be completed and the Complete button clicked (see next item).

Complete equals save. For most situations, there is no ‘Save’ or Save button in Work Bench. The Complete button saves everything to that point. The Com-plete button will not show up unless all required fields are completed.

Hot Keys / Keyboard Short Cuts: The choices / options are limited to typical windows commands for copying and pasting, Tab for moving between fields and Space Bar for selecting radio buttons and check boxes. Because Work Bench is so intuitive and set up for using a mouse, there is little need for using the keyboard beyond entering text where required

Click maximize icon (upper right in program) to reduce the amount of scrolling needed

Type Size / Viewing: Type size used is fairly standard To see items larger or smaller, hold the keyboard Control (Command) key and either roll the scroll wheel on the mouse or click the hyphen (-) or equal (=) keys on the keyboard.
